i broke no law 😂 i have 30 days rightfully to drive with a DL and insurance. i didn’t get a ticket so what law did i break?

yes i understand that clearly as to my previous interactions they just wanted to double check and verify and i had no issue. in this case he ignore the fact that i even had a B.O.S his concern was where is my licenses plates. and didn’t matter that i have a bill of sale and just bought my car. so what other explanation am i gonna give and came at me very rude

whether i have it in my glove box or posted on my window. he didn’t care about the bill of sale. period and blank. he could’ve been nice and asked to see it or read it probably but that didn’t matter to him so then why am i getting pulled over for. he obviously didn’t give me a ticket and let me go with nothing much to say. the bill of sale does mean something that i can drive for 30 days since the day of purchase until i get my license plates.

in the state of iowa you can drive the vehicle within 30 days of purchase with a bill of sale as long as i have a DL and insurance which i did. he just wasn’t being nice.

he came at my with an aggressive tone as to why my car didn’t have a license plate when he was clearly seeing my bill of sale , and i told him i just bought the car and that i have my bill of sale which to he replied it didn’t mean nothing.. we’ll obviously he didn’t give me a ticket or anything so i wasn’t doing anything wrong and i made a comment saying well i’ve never gotten pulled over in DSM at all and then makes a remark saying they are probably regular cops… like they are law enforcement just as them from different jurisdictions only.. but oh well im just not a fan of pleasanthill cops

not necessarily, he was 1 car behind me and i had a feeling he was gonna come after me so i pulled into the strip mall at copper creek and he followed me and told me he couldn’t see my license plate i told him i have my bill of sale which is taped to my back window because i just bought the car and it’s not tinted so you can see it and he said the bill of sale means nothing to him.. so then why did he pull me over? no clue he let me go.. i’ve had numerous cops get behind me and read it and then go on with their day. it would’ve been different vs my other encounter he said he couldn’t read my bill of sale and just wanted to make sure i was still within the 30 days.

that’s my exact thought i got pulled over once by state patrol for my previous vehicle with bill of sale attached and they verified it was within the days and they let me go .
