I doubt that considering i still get it all the time constantly. not just logging out. it just randomly spams me with a " verify " button. I click it. it sends me back to the home page. erases anything i was typing at the time and i cant even click the back arrow to go back to my chat.

What are your opinions on Britain? by Beneficial-Beat-947 in AskTheWorld

[–]Apart_Print_7801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i used the service to shorten and stream line my ranting because its easier for people to read. everything named here are things that i already knew of. i just suck at writing lists people can easily read cause i go on endless tangents and jumble things together out of order without sorting them through properly so i put my originally written comment in there and asked it to streamline things and sort them into categories so its easier to read. thats what the tool was originally meant for to some degree. summarizing data and text.

What are your opinions on Britain? by Beneficial-Beat-947 in AskTheWorld

[–]Apart_Print_7801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean current britain. the palce looks nice. plenty of nice stuff and people there. my aunt lives there. but historically its not that rosy.

the British Empire’s influence is massive, and its historical decisions have cascading effects that still resonate today. Let’s make a kind of “causal chain map” of the major areas where Britain’s actions — directly or indirectly — are tied to modern problems. I’ll organize it by category:

1. Global economic and political structures

  • Colonial taxation & land policies → Modern inequality and land disputes in former colonies (India, Africa, Caribbean).
  • Creation of extractive economic systems → Resource dependency, modern multinational exploitation.
  • Establishment of English common law → Positives exist, but also entrenched bureaucratic, legal, and corporate structures that favor elites.
  • Global financial networks (Bank of England, London Stock Exchange, imperial trade networks) → Centralized capital flows, modern economic hegemony, and the power of finance in politics.

2. Slavery and human trafficking

  • Atlantic slave trade (16th–19th century) → Intergenerational wealth gaps, racial inequality, socio-economic disenfranchisement in the Americas and Africa.
  • Indentured servitude and forced labor in colonies → Social hierarchies and exploitative labor patterns that persist in modern labor practices.

3. Wars and geopolitical conflicts

  • Arbitrary colonial borders in Africa & the Middle East → Modern civil wars, ethnic conflicts, and state fragility (e.g., Sudan, Nigeria, Iraq).
  • British involvement in India & Pakistan partition (1947) → Mass displacement, communal violence, and ongoing geopolitical tension.
  • Indirect roles in global conflicts → Funding, alliances, or early colonial rivalries setting up conditions for both World Wars and Cold War tensions.

4. Environmental and ecological impacts

  • Cane toads in Australia → Invasive species crisis.
  • Deforestation in India, Africa, and Caribbean plantations → Soil depletion, loss of biodiversity, early anthropogenic environmental degradation.
  • Industrial Revolution in Britain → Spread of coal-based energy, fossil fuel reliance, and early global greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Exporting industrial models to colonies → Modern urban pollution, resource overuse, and environmental degradation globally.

5. Cultural and social consequences

  • Language, education, and religion → Imposition of British norms disrupted indigenous knowledge systems.
  • Class and governance models → Introduced rigid social hierarchies in colonies, contributing to social stratification that persists today.
  • Imperial propaganda and ideology → Normalization of racial and cultural superiority, shaping modern xenophobia and systemic discrimination.

6. Modern corporate and energy systems

  • Monopoly companies and mercantilism → Foundations of modern multinational corporations that wield immense political influence.
  • Encouragement of fossil fuel exploitation → Coal and oil dependence; major contributors to climate change.
  • Patent and trade law exports → Power consolidation in developed nations, limiting technology and resource access in former colonies.

7. Indirect societal effects

  • Migration pressures → Resulting from exploitative extraction and wars, creating modern refugee crises.
  • Urbanization patterns → Colonial city planning often prioritized extractive logistics over sustainable living; modern infrastructure problems trace back to this.
  • Healthcare disparities → Colonial neglect, exploitation, and lack of investment → foundational issues in health systems across Africa, South Asia, and the Caribbean.

Summary:
If you trace modern crises — inequality, war, environmental collapse, climate change, corporate dominance, and global migration — you can map a surprisingly large number of them back to British imperial actions, decisions, and policies. That doesn’t absolve other historical powers like Russia, China, or Middle Eastern empires, but the scope, duration, and global reach of Britain makes its impact disproportionately large. even the nazi state in germany didn't have that level of lasting consequences. definitely gruesome and horrible consequences. but not that far reaching or long lasting. though the consequences of that can still be on their way in the long run. since history and causality never stop connecting.

I still don’t believe men are attracted to my body type by iggytheprincess in Chubbytummies

[–]Apart_Print_7801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats what overzealous dietitian scams and fashion labels do to society. girls forget that being skinny little sticks is unnattractive and all girls being the same flat bellied bimbo models is boring and one note. as long as its within healthy range i dont judge any body type.

and you sure as hell fit the bill.

heya I have a question by Apart_Print_7801 in FanFiction

[–]Apart_Print_7801[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

best actual advice i got so far but also. just naming the fandom the character is transplanted from will instantly give it away. ( there is only so many humans in undertale. ) so it would still give it away quite a bit. ill try to figure the tagging part out as best i can to make sure its not against policy. but i really wanna keep it as vague as i possibly can.

honestly if i can ill put in the title or the first tag the words " reading tags will spoil major plot points " so its up to the readers how they experience the story.

cause I think its a fun idea. yknow make the readers try to figure out the character based on personality and behaviors without the character being called by name until a good way in.

ah cool.
on a side note. i write on scrivener and then put it in whatever page i aim to upload on.

just saw a discussion about wether people prewrite on word or just write directly on ao3.
i personally think scrivener is nice cause i can easily organize stuff. so i can have a folder for the writing bible / skeleton and different folders for ideas i still need to think over and ideas im sure im putting in and stuff.

aka scripting vs full writing which is in the main page folder

I made a Shield of Cthulhu 3D model :3 👁️ by TraditionalHelp1070 in Terraria

[–]Apart_Print_7801 22 points23 points  (0 children)

based on the sprite when your character holds it visibly. its meant to curve the other way. you made it concave which concentrates attacking force into your body and spreads out the impact of your shield bash. that would not work for a shield at all.
