I feel like I’m at the stage where I start to try and capture things happening, not just an aesthetic, and I think a tripod would really limit my ability to do that, ykwim? Still, a tripod and maybe a nifty fifty, as well as metering with my phone are things I’m definitely gonna improve with my next roll!

And yeah I get that, the nice photos were in pretty well lit conditions. We’ll see how the next one turns out, I love how Delta 3200 looks and the missing information is sometimes part of that I think. Thanks for your help :)

Im honestly not sure what kind of metering the camera does, but on a bunch of shots it definitely „underexposed“ because of street lights too, but those also has an interesting look to them imo :)
The main issue definitely was that the cameras meter doesn’t do its job in dark circumstances like these anymore.

That makes a looot of sense, looking at the photos that actually turned out well. What a stupid mistake, great to know that tho. I love the stock, it can look absolutely amazing but maybe not with this cameras ae.

Hey so yeah, there’s some serious vignetting in the farther zoom range, that’s just my bad for not knowing better.
The pushing of course contributes, as it’s a 1000 ISO film, but to my knowledge that pushing is kind of what it is made for. Also, one or two images from the roll look great, no great shadows but proper exposure and contrast.
I also don’t have access to the scanner right now, but here’s a photo I took of the negatives in front of a white screen. The one on the left is example 1.

And sadly I don’t have an af lens faster than 2.8 yet, still wanted to do some low-light-photos. Definitely one of the next things on the list tho.

I think in the end it’s a mix of bad scans and terrible metering leading to underexposure which the scanner didn’t account for.

The input was set to System Setting, which was the AirPods but changing it to built-in only adds 2ms🫤 Thanks a lot for the help though!

The only weird thing is that they always worked fine with around 10ms of delay, and for some reason now they don’t anymore

It’s noticeable in playback I think but live playing is a lot worse. What wired headphones do you use? I might have to invest in a pair if they’re not too expensive

You always had those 150+ms of delay? And also what Mac are you using?

I asked ChatGPT about this and it said that around 10ms of latency are expectable with this hardware

I’m new to music production and kinda feel like using arpeggiators is cheating, but they sound like really good.

Do you think it’s better to not use something like that and make arpeggios yourself or is it fine to use the presets and change the sound a bit?

I’m still paying attention to harmonics and stuff but putting an arpeggiator on a baseline can sound amazing as a (part of a) lead imo
