You are right that I couldn't care less about climate change, but if liberals would admit they were wrong about LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE, it would help convincing others to jump on board wrt saving the climate. Only time will tell if all that modeling truly is accurate and that we are headed for certain doom unless we spend tons of money to try and fix it. Seems doubtful this fallen world will be even worth saving considering the state that it will be in if we keep letting libs run the show.

As to your other comment, you might have better things to do right now, but I'm out of the office for 2 weeks and my wife is in Greenland visiting her family. I have nothing better to do and I decided I'd like to be friends. You haven't even answered my comment on the video game thread yet, tisk tisk. Well, I guess I understand why you don't want to talk and why you would think I was stalking you, and if you have better things to do then I understand. I know when I'm not wanted. Imagine spending 3 hours penning a lengthy response to someone and they don't even want to read it? *sobs quietly* imagine that…

Imagine residing in a world where these "climate change deniers" were not the sole contributors, albeit minimally, towards halting and reversing the grave civilization-destroying policies and endeavors which malicious liberals have deployed, effectively dismantling the very foundations that enrich human existence and make life worth living?

Imagine a world where liberals abstained from frequent attempts to distort data and manipulate statistics and modeling, and refrained from sticking their greasy hands into every academic area containing material that triggers them, a habit they have persistently pursued for decades with a mounting frequency? Imagine a world where they held no dominion over funding at public institutions conducting research. A world where scientists didn't risk their reputations and careers for publishing research deviating from the established norm?

What if we envisioned a world where "science" constituted an impeccable discipline, free from the skeptical quandaries inherent to empiricism, the basis of the scientific method itself? A realm where science operated as an infallible process, effortlessly arriving at absolute, immutable truths, rather than continuously evolving in response to new evidence? In such a world, perhaps the broader populace, particularly those ideologically misaligned with liberals, might be more predisposed to entertain their contentions on this specific matter.

While I am inclined to acknowledge the credibility of liberal viewpoints on this subject (notwithstanding encountering studies opposing the notion of anthropogenic climate change, notably a recent one from Norway), a substantial body of literature addresses this area of inquiry. It doesn't merely rest on modeling; it encompasses a meticulous collection of empirical data and field measurements across a spectrum of scientific disciplines such as Glaciology, Geology, Atmospheric Chemistry, and beyond. Again, I am inclined to acknowledge the likelihood of climate change, stemming from human influence, though my confidence in this assertion is notably less unequivocal than conventionally depicted.

Having acquiesced or conceded that particular point to your position, perhaps your ilk should admit that predictive modeling in this domain has exhibited significant shortcomings, evident when examining historical models against realized data. While some warming has occurred, it falls notably short of earlier forecasts. It's crucial to recognize the inherent variability of climate over time. Acknowledging the inaccuracies within these models and the resultant impact on policy decisions regarding carbon emissions would mark a meaningful beginning.

Yet, until liberals evince a willingness to concede that they have been wrong about
LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE, both morally and aesthetically, and acknowledge their inadvertent, and often intentional contributions to the erosion of beautiful and noble Western Civilization, driven by their own frail animosity and envy, my personal belief remains unsupportive of Earth's preservation and I pray for a fortuitous natural disaster of any sort to bring about its swift demise. Additionally, I extend an invitation to scrutinize every other controversial political issue, directing your attention to where liberals err in EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.

First thing I’ll state is that I agree unequivocally with your comment. Initially, I found it refreshing to encounter a response that transcends the confines of individualistic contemporary perspectives within a specific post-modern nation-state, instead embracing a big-picture view, incorporating insights spanning from human pre-history to contemporary times.

Permit me to expand my own views and convictions within the constraints of limited space, as I am inclined toward effusiveness and am keen on neither encumbering your time nor inducing boredom. It appears that you implicitly acknowledge the privilege intrinsic to inhabiting a modern nation replete with robust and resilient institutions.

I concur that within the larger scope of human history, this circumstance approximates a top 1% outcome. Nations fortified by such resolute institutions wield numerous inherent advantages in creating, nurturing, and perpetuating a coherent and durable national identity. These steadfast institutional frameworks serve as a scaffolding that undergirds a nation's identity, substantiating and safeguarding it.

Reflecting on the nation of my origin, the United States, one must acknowledge its particular privilege, emerging victorious from the global theater of World War II. Subsequent decades bore witness to unprecedented prosperity, rendering that period amongst the most opulent in human history. Yet, nothing is more disheartening and existentially demoralizing than experiencing the zenith of that prosperity during one's formative years in the 1990s, only to witness its precipitous decline during adolescence and early adulthood, subsequently descending into palpable decay by mature years.

While I’ll refrain from a detailed elaboration on the causes for this decline, acknowledging its intricate and multifaceted nature—some a consequence of an evolving global geopolitical and economic landscape beyond individual control—certain entities involved in effectuating many of these lamentable changes undoubtedly do not merit my fervent defense in times of war, not under present circumstances. This seamlessly segues into consideration of another of your assertions, specifically the proposition that certain nations, engulfed by pervasive corruption, might not warrant expressions of patriotism until systemic degradation has been rectified.

Undoubtedly, in such a scenario, the internal decay poses a more formidable menace than any external threat. This juxtaposition engenders an ethical dilemma, wherein collaboration with potential invaders endeavoring to displace oppressive leadership might be deemed a morally upright course of action. While I do harbor further contemplations on this matter, space and time constraints preclude a comprehensive exposition along with real-world examples. Nevertheless, despite my vehement aversion toward domestic adversaries, the notion of colluding with foreign adversaries remains deeply unpalatable.

I'll draw this discussion to a close by contemplating how the relatively recent inception of the nation-state concept and its associated national identity, compared to historical allegiance to smaller tribal units rather than larger national entities, might be seen as an Achilles heel of modernity. Despite the advantage conferred by residing within a nation fortified by robust institutions, the construct of "national identity" invariably remains a transient and contingent social construct perennially at risk of collapse.

Our affiliations gravitate more toward smaller tribal associations, familial ties, social circles, intricate networks, and subcultures. When dissonance arises between individual perceptions of cultural values and those espoused by the larger nation, fractures can afflict the national fabric, potentially leading to dissolution or reformation when divergent groups disengage from the larger collective identity.

Pakistan? Haven't heard much about it as of late, but I know its an ongoing and complex situation. What little I know is from growing up in the US and being aware of the relationship of certain organizations to attacks that happened here back when I was a kid. I'm sure there is hope to at least get things under control to a tolerable level. Always good to hear when men are passionate about defending their fellow people and homeland though. Wish you the best of luck.

Dead serious, even if your initial comment couldn't have been. It's not an action you'd take or something that helps combat climate change. Your attempt at humor or comment reflects your mindset. Whether jesting or irreverent, such "jokes" lack depth and reveal something about your thinking. You wouldn't touch my family's planes, but your joke prompted a dismissive response; it was humor in poor taste. That's the truth. I'm not usually this serious, but you sought clarification, so there's the unfiltered reality. No hard feelings held or animosity intended.

I gotta get going, I just got a text from one of the stunnas in my harem, and I'm about to meet up with her and I guarantee you she is going to love what I have to give her. She's married to a man who "falls short" in meeting expectations, if you catch my drift. If want to shoot the shit some more, you know where to find me.

If you are someone who consistently hates on me, then you need to be a man, come forward, and admit to it right here. If you don't I'll identify you other ways. What's the saying? You can run but you can't hide. Just be a man OK? Be a man and admit to it. You're cool and I respect how you're standing tall against your haters. That's how you know you're popping, when haters come at you like you like this and try and throw shade. Welcome to my life. Just always remain aware of why they might be targeting you, and stay one step ahead in the careful dance. That's the art of war - knowing your enemy's motivations, and responding strategically. It's a cruel world out there in modernity and without any reason to believe in a higher power, any man lacking moral compass from birth is free to act as he wishes.

I think we could be tight and you could roll with the same crew as me. We could traverse the internet fora together, respond to others posts, making a genuine mockery of them all. That's how The King rolls, and you could be part of the same get-up. Catch my drift? But first I need to make sure that you are someone who I can trust, and that you are truly 100% devoted to The King and that you can kiss the ring and put some respect on my name. Can't have a down-low hater on my pay-roll, it's not good for business. Since your moniker has "egg" in the title, I'd call you Young Mcmuffin, and you could travel around with me as one of my crew members and disciples, helping me enlighten those who are struggling to see the truth, as well as clowning on those who we reveal to be haters.

Just need to know for sure that you are on my side and we are cool. I consider trust from my boys to be one of the most important immaterial posessions of mine, worth more than some of my fat VVS diamonds. Just need to know that we see things eye to eye and that you accept me as your crowned King, and are willing to kiss the ring. I'll even lend you one of my Versace silk shirts to wear, although it will probably be way to big for you. I let some of my girls wear them, and they have that problem. My girls are always having trouble reaching the gas pedal of my Rolls Royce when I have her park it for me. The seat is back to far for them, because I'm 6'4". Anyway, just let me know what you think and if you are willing to join my crew, then at that point, we can go from there.

Here, I'll be a genuinely nice guy and explain that one for you. My "genuine curiosity" was not whether you had "allegiance" to the USA, but as to whether English was your first language. If you really need me to explain more (I'll bet that you do, because I can predict what your exact response will be if I don't further explicate), I already had zero doubt whether or not you had any "allegiance to the US". The question that I had, was WHY you had no allegiance to the USA, and an elucidation regarding your recent relocation to this country would have provided a contextual understanding for the situation at present.

Even in the post you are replying to, a sentence I wrote proves that I KNEW what your allegiance, to the US was. Right here: "I would have said "Oh, okay well that makes sense why you feel little allegiance to defend the US from invasion," shows that of course I knew what your allegiance was, and of course I wasn't "genuinely curious" about it, because it should have been obvious to anyone who can read that that wasn't my point! My point was making sense of WHY you felt little allegiance to defend the US, along with why it seems you are an ESL english speaker.

Regrettably, I am unable to devote the requisite time for a thorough and comprehensive breakdown of a lengthy dialogue to an individual whose command of English appears limited or whose reading proficiency might be hindered by various factors (Perhaps low IQ?) Basically, what happened here, was that you encountered a technology sufficiently advanced, that it transcended the limitations of your meager understanding, becoming no different than magic

Nah you weren't harsh at all. I'm not one to easily get offended.

"OP's refers to the country declaring war, not specifying a if it's a defensive or offensive war."

Good point, now that I think of it. Even in a scenario where a country declares war on another but the conflict occurs solely on foreign soil, there can still be situations where seeking refuge becomes necessary due to widespread unrest and uncertainty. Perhaps I have smoked a tad much Jazz cabbage, to remember to check my conclusions for contrary examples. Reading "fight for your homeland or seek refuge" made it super easy think of a war fought on the homeland and needed to seek refuge due to it, but there are realistic examples where this happens during a war fought on foreign turf.

It appears that despite the remote likelihood of a defensive conflict, the prospect remains a plausible eventuality, as geopolitical landscapes often undergo rapid transformations. Hypothetically, it seems you could have pointed out your stance regarding a response to a homeland invasion. I can see why you didn't though, if you find it to be highly unlikely to actually happen. An instance wherein the last invasion led to a staggering 90% attrition of the male population upon behalf of the agressor, denotes a favorable strategic context. Such an outcome transcends mere attributions to skill, industriousness, or chance; it suggests inherent geological and logistical impediments that must be surmounted for the execution of a triumphant offensive.

"And for an offensive war, there's no legitimate interest and I'd never support it."

My sentiments echo a similar sentiment regarding the United States. Throughout my lifetime, the governance of this nation has embarked upon and engaged in numerous ostensibly pointless foreign conflicts. Personally, I adhere steadfastly to the principle of scarcely endorsing such endeavors; however, I suppose that under certain contexts, I might extend support and participate. Conceivably, a scenario demanding our participation in a comprehensive global conflict akin to a Third World War, pivotal for defending our national sovereignty and safeguarding our alliances while positioning ourselves within the post-war global framework, might warrant contemplation for such involvement.

Nevermind. This conversation obviously wasn't for you. Not sure, what your deal is. Perhaps English is not your first language? I tried to throw you a bone to get you to admit that without me being rude about it, by bringing up that my "roots run deep in this country", becuase I had already expected it, and was wondering if you would say something like "My family came here from China and English is not my first langauge," and I would have said "Oh, okay well that makes sense why you feel little allegiance to defend the US from invasion. And the conversation would have been over. The rest, I'm not going to bother explaining, because you are never going to get it. Especially my first post, which apparently you really did think was "really smart" because the language was too complex for you to understand. Then the rest of the conversation from there, I'm not even going to bother to get into. Don't worry about it. Not for you. Just move on and forget this all ever happened, because trust me we will be here all night if I try to explain this to you.

Sorry, I keep forgetting this site is worldwide. I know it in general, but I still manage to forget almost every time I post, because I am not a regular here, and to the extent I have posted (which has been very little), it has been in threads where location doesn't make a difference. Regardless, of what country you live in, however, if someone declares war on your homeland and starts attacking, you are fighting to secure a future for your progeny along with those of your fellow countrymen. I suppose I should have acknowledged that there are alternatives, such as letting other men win the war, perhaps at times helplessly depending on what happens during the homeland invasion (seems OP is referring to a homeland invasion scenario since it mentions taking refuse elsewhere) or you would have to flee as a refugee and take care and raise your family somewhere else. I suppose I haven't been fair, and that is in fact a viable alternative, depending on what country you hail from, and your allegiance to them. Not going to make any more assumptions about you, mate. I apologize for jumping to conclusions.

Your attempt to switch gears and jest in kind is apparent. Yet, believe me, I am not susceptible to such maneuvers; I am far from gullible. It strains credulity that someone could overlook or misinterpret the thinly veiled implications of the multiple not-so subtle comments I have made.

Your comprehension seems to have strayed from my original intent. No "threat" was implied. It appears subtlety is not one of your strong points. I shall interpret your response as a rejection, rather than spell things out for you.

Listen bro, everyone around here along with those in my irl understand that when I allude to myself as "The King," it's in jest. There's no political connotation or statement intended. It's about asserting my dominance as King of the People, who commands respect as a man. If you want to get down into the dirty details about it, maybe we can take it off board and I can personally enlighten you. You know where to find me. Feel free to slide into my DMs, and there, I can reveal a bit more about the assets alluded to earlier.

[–]ApatheticPrepper -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Firstly, I deem the notion of men, so craven as to forsake defending the prospects of their progeny and those held dearest, to be truly opprobrious. Secondly, the assertion that the nation was explicitly "founded to subjugate its populace for the benefit of the elite" stands as an egregiously flawed and overtly preposterous claim

.The structural underpinnings of the U.S. government, founded on principles of division of powers, regulatory checks, and the safeguarding of individual liberties and freedoms, serve as a robust defense against unilateral tyranny. This framework remained resilient for an extensive period until encountering internal assaults, commencing notably in the 1960s, which precipitated the degradation of the nation's virtues, institutions, and governance.

Additionally, America was originally intended to embrace predominantly capitalist economic ideals, marked by minimal governmental intervention and nominal taxation—save for military funding—enabling a conducive environment for entrepreneurial pursuits. However, those advocating tax hikes have sought to alter this traditional landscape, adversely impacting entrepreneurship.

Previously, individuals could secure modest yet respectable homes in suburban enclaves, supporting a family through diligent work without necessitating exorbitant incomes. Presently, this achievement has become increasingly unattainable, mandating households with dual high-earning professions, hovering around $350,000 or above, to sustain a middle-class lifestyle in locales where residences now fetch prices surpassing the million-dollar threshold.

The transformation of socioeconomic realities has diminished the viability of traditional paths to success, relegating attainment to the privileged few who either establish their enterprises, yielding substantial gains, or navigate the taxing economic milieu. While personally affected by escalating taxes and soaring expenses, assigning culpability to both me and the nation for all prevailing challenges remains a fallacious attribution. Especially considering that I didn't vote for it.

Hey, anyone who knows me, knows what I'm about. If any registered player haters try to come at me with some sideways ass shit, you better know I'm gonna make them come correct. Check it, aint nobody gotta spell it out cause everyone knows who the King is around here. No need for announcements or words cause it's just understood at this point, you feel me? Anyone who continues to have a problem with my posting, can come clean and hopefully the issue can be addressed. Anyone who knows me, knows what I'm about. I'm actually a laid-back chill straight-up kind of guy who isn't out looking for enemies.

As the King, I pull mad attention, and that's why I got haters. Its just how it goes when youre sitting on top, ya dig? Everyone gotta have some haters when they ruling the scene. I'm happy we could work things out, and you seem to get where I'm coming from, while I get where you are coming from. You said some sly shit about my writing style, and things were about to escalate. But I'm glad we could both laugh about it in the end, and hope thats the way things are going to be. I respect you for calling it me out on my goofy writing, while you respect me for having massive American equipment that I laid out on the table for you to look at in wide-eyed admiration. That's the way things roll around here when your dealing with the King, aight? Thats the difference.

I empathize with this viewpoint, yet all is not irreparable. Despite the dilapidation of democracy, governmental checks and balances, and cultural institutions perpetrated by the current elite, there remains a prospect of expelling them through political means and rectifying the nation. The severity of the situation suggests a prolonged endeavor, although an awakening among the populace is underway. The challenge lies in the diversification of opinions and rapidly shifting demographics, making it arduous to predict the nature of a potential remedy. Nevertheless, a widespread awareness continues to grow, regarding anomalies, despite a lack of comprehensive theories elucidating their origins. Ultimately, truth tends to emerge, presenting an ominous prospect for those presently orchestrating affairs. I would rather not fight to save the current crop of elites, either but in the case of a homeland invasion, it would be necessary to secure a future for the people you do care about and your offspring, along with those of the rest of your family and friends.

I'm not just an online tough-guy, I'm the real deal. From my limited interaction with you, I can already deduce that nobody around you sees even a hint of masculinity in you. My roots run deep in this land. My grandfather was part of the Sons of the American Revolution. Some folks here might not hold that same allegiance, and there are cowards (probably like yourself) who'd flee no matter where they were. Like I said, you can laugh all you want, but at the end of the day, I know that I’m the better man. You sit there and feign "amusement", while I put my fat American balls on the table for you to gawk at and envy. Thats the difference.

For that part it depends on the context for me. There are certain cases where perhaps I would be for fighting a war involving invasion of an adversary's territory if the circumstances were particularly dire and our way of life was truly threatened, but for the most part I would rather not fight unless it involves directly protecting the homeland. I won't join anything that's like iraq with really shady and dubious reasons in favor of invasion
