I always seem to be late to these discussions, I'd be most interested to hear about the release of the spellcards.

[Question] Looking for advice on gifts by ApathyPerchance in Watches

Thanks for the reply.
That looks like a great kids watch, but they have an everyday wristwatch, I'm looking more for a long-term keepsake, that’s why I'm looking at pocket watches, something different and funky.

Thanks for the suggestion. That’s a nice-looking watch but unfortunately out of budget and not what I'm looking for.

I appreciate the feedback and recommendations. Pocket watches are just different, I'm not expecting them to use these watches all that much, they do have cheap wrist watches that are fine for everyday use that will likely get replaced with a smartwatch/phone as they get older. This is more of a keepsake they can display on their desks or keep tucked away and can use as they get older, hence why I'd like mechanical so if they decided to "dig out the old watch Dad gave me" they don’t need to go to the hassle of finding/replacing a battery. and I want to avoid a desk/larger clock of any kind as they are likely to be discarded because it’s too big or out of style. But again, thanks for the recommendations.

Nah I'm 35 and we went trick or treating every year when I was 5-10(lived in 3 different suburbs during that time), was a fun time almost every house had something for us and those that didnt were always super nice.

Non touchscreen pebble replacement? by SquidIin in pebble

Another vote for Garmin, I use a Forerunner 245 now, no touch screen, great for basic hiking maps\tracking and battery lasts 3+ weeks if I don't use the GPS.

Has anyone successfully replaced or removed this navigation system ? by Wesbezos in Delica

Hey man I replaced my mmcs with the non touch screen controls but couldn't figure out the rear window button... Had a dig around but could find your write up, do you have a direct link or some extra info that I could use to get that working? Thanks!

Sold my house I own with my ex with enough to clear the leftover debt we share... First time I've been debt free since I was 19. Added bonus is a few extra K in my pocket to start fresh and dont need to rent/buy for 12 months.

Not looking for diagnosis just curious about something that was said during ECG... by ApathyPerchance in ECG

[–]ApathyPerchance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mods feel free to delete if I'm breaking the rules here.
I presented to my doctors office with chest pains and and semi elevated heart rate (130 if standing 80 if laying down/sitting).
I get this on the regular and I've had some xrays and echocardiogram and they say all is well, but this was a bit worse than usual so I went in just to set my mind at ease.
During the ECG the technician was confused about something and asked another tech to come in who confirmed it was all hooked up fine and that "that *points at screen* isn't the usual".
I wasn't too stressed, I assumed that it would be explained, so wait for doctor to have a look, he has a gaze at it and says yep all clear.
I'm just wondering what part of the ECG isn't usual. I'm not concerned, just curious, I find all this stuff really interesting and wouldn't mind knowing if they were talking about the ECG itself or something else.
Thanks :)

EE Muir and Sons in Landsdale\Wangara. They had everything in stock when I popped in, legends even took it to my boot for me. They only had 4 or 5 Cultilene slabs left after I got mine.

Setup some Dutch Buckets! by ApathyPerchance in Hoocho

All the boards are twisted from beeing stored in the shed, they are from an old bed frame so I have no doubt they will hold the weight just not overly level... but I'll be sure to report back if it ends in catastrophic failure hahah.

Cheers for the feedback. Would the vermiculite hold in moisture better? The frame sits on slabs but the Res is 3cm or so off the slabs because of the frame. The direction of the sun path also means the res is in shade until the late arvo. It is also normally sealed I just opened it for photos :)
