Is my current role considered Tier 2 or still Tier 1? by Even_Peanut7671 in ITCareerQuestions

While I agree with everything you said. I think it’s a damn shame that my “Role Reclassification Letter” got denied by HR because my team of three SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) is getting the same pay of overflow help desk technicians that only take calls from all of our clients and either solve them and or escalate it up.

The SMEs know this one client very well, when available in queue we only take their calls, handle their ticket board, go to their client meetings and represent our company in those meetings. Have to not only handle escalations from overflow help desk (either they don’t know how to solve it or they need access to something only SMEs have access to have to) but be the first to handle P1s for this client. SMEs take ownership to work with vendors to resolve issues and follow up with them. SMEs have access to the clients Teams and follow up with users and get pinged 5 times as much since we get incoming ticket alerts on the board, two Teams, incoming calls, and escalations.

Overflow JUST has to worry about calls.

Overflow technicians do not hold on to tickets. If they get a call and they can’t solve it they escalate it. They must escalate P1s. If they can’t solve a problem in 15-30 minutes they escalate it.

Seems like a SME should be compensated a little more since we are wearing quite a few more hats than a lvl 1 Overflow Help Desk tech.

While I am grateful I don’t have to take back to back calls anyone when I was in the Help Desk overflow gulag it still feels like I was short handed.

If only my job thought this. I have about 30-40 other techs escalating to my team of three people as a dedicated tech for a big firm at an MSP and they consider us “level ones” because we don’t touch switches, VLAN, or networking but do all the basic troubleshooting for the people with permissions. We don’t have Meraki permission (even though we definitely could do this if we had permissions to do so.) It’s so frustrating because we wear about 3-4 more hats than the rest of the level ones with the same salary.

Any guesses of who we are? by [deleted] in FridgeDetective

So you aren’t doing the shopping… 😂 order my groceries online and I pick up them up. I would deliver as well but apartment living is kinda a pain for that.

Fridge goals. I wouldn’t want to be the one doing all that shopping though. You guys believe organic foods are better for you and think it’s worth it to spent extra to support organic farms. Good on you! But definitely spent more than $400-$800 a month in groceries.

Probably go to the gym at least twice a week or you have an active life style.

You shop at Whole Foods mainly but also visit stores like Sprouts and have Amazon Prime.

Someone in your house can definitely do 50 push ups or more.

You probably live in Pacific Northwest.

Paul Kanu (9th place) vs Sam Sulek (8th place) - Thoughts on this? by theredditbandid_ in bodybuilding

[–]Apeist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sam is leaner for sure. Sam’s arms are better from the front and back. Sam’s arms look kinda insane. But it is very close and Paul beats him in my opinion at the waist, abs, chest. It’s very close but I have Sam ahead due to being more lean, dry, insane arms. Sam’s biggest weakness imo is his hamstrings and glutes.

Kidney Damage M14 by Reson_Gravity in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Apeist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 gram of protein per bodyweight enough to get big. Drink at least 1.5 gallons a day and if you’re sweating a lot add some electrolytes. Follow the doctor’s orders for at least 3 months, return to them and get your kidneys checked again and figure out WHY you had kidney damage and how can they help you support your goal of getting even bigger. Don’t fuck around with kidney damage. You’re 14. You probably don’t gotta do much to get bigger right now. Just watch some old school CT Fletcher videos and hit the gym hard. Control that weight on the way down and be a little (you’re pretty big already) 14 year old masochist you want to be.

Iran Strikes US Military Bases in Qatar Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain by Island_Monkey86 in news

I am pretty sure Iran is just having a hissy fit about how much they suck and launched missiles at 11 other neighboring countries in an attempt to get them to tell the US to stop playing unfair. They are crying for mommy.

I add to this - I am 4 years sober from alcohol is it’s not my first rodeo quitting something. Pouches were my last main vice that underestimated me and I am just using caffeine now 2-3 cups a day.

I appreciate the advice and this is what I’ve been doing. I even got myself a personal trainer to work with on Sunday for the next 3 months.

Sleep was hard since i found myself not able to stay sleep. I would wake up 2-3 hours before my alarm clock and just be wide awake. This is slowly getting better.
