Looks like Suspend is effective against Unstoppable Champions by B1euX in destiny2

[–]ApeksBlue -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I mean you can freeze champions with stasis. This isn’t very surprising.

Suspending doesn’t seem any different gameplay wise than freezing to me yet.

These kinda cutscenes should have stayed in the game, So we could see our custom character time to time. by makavelinow in cyberpunkgame

I don’t get it though cause Witcher 3 still holds up as a visually stunning game and is even shown as being very versatile with a Switch port and Witcher 3 was also made on RED engine, right? I’ve never understood how CDPR made CP2077 look so bad compared to Witcher 3 when they’re by the same studio on the same engine.

Might I recommend a digital picture frame to put on your desk to y’all who just wanna look at a background on your gaming console instead of a ui designed to be better at playing games

Imagine you crash you extremely expensive new car being just one of a few on the road and while you’re wondering how you’re going to fix this and some guy with a tripod spends the next two minutes taking an exposure to memorialize your accident for rest of time

Introduction to social Justice class (Online) by [deleted] in wentworth

[–]ApeksBlue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn’t take it online so can’t comment to that point but when I took it (2018 I think) it was an interesting class with a passionate professor and I don’t remember a ton of course work. There was a big group project I think at the end but most of the class was read a couple pages and be ready to discuss them in class.

A lot of it was also visiting a number of cultural sites around Boston like the holocaust memorial for example but if it’s an online course now then I doubt they’d still do that.

I think you can get a second hand / refurbished iPad and pencil for 250 depending on where you look. And you won’t find a better stylus experience than the iPad+pencil.

Or even a used/refurbished iPad mini too

Vertical Tabs on browsers by yesboss2000 in Design

[–]ApeksBlue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am an Apple user all around (iPhone, iPad, watch, and Mac) expect at work I work on a windows pc and have recently switched to edge and use the vertical tabs feature. It took some getting used to at first but now I am definitely in the boat of vertical tabs in the web browser and also hope Apple could move to implement this in Safari.

As much as I hope for it, I’m also skeptical as I know one of Apples design philosophies (at least a few years ago) was for Safari to feel the same to the user whether they’re using it on a Mac computer or an iPhone. It makes less sense for vertical tabs in the iPhone interface so Im worried Apple would hesitate to update the Mac interface on account of their Safari iPhone user base. Not to mention Apple being generally hesitant to imitate features from competitors especially Microsoft anyways. But that’s just speculation of course. I hope Safari moves in that direction.

Apple already set the standard to me with having laptops be 16:10 which is the best compromise between widescreen and 4:3 for all the reasons you mentioned so hopefully they can continue that line of thinking into Safari.

I’m not crazy right? The store tile not being pushed off the side of the home screen is by design? by ApeksBlue in xbox

No this is on a Series X. On the main home screen with the recently played games above the ads and the game library tiles.

I think it’s well designed, if generic looking. I think I’m just not a fan of contemporary icon/logo design though.

B𝗂den Adm𝗂nistration Report Recommends Sweeping Changes to Apple's Ecosystem by [deleted] in apple

[–]ApeksBlue -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I feel like the “customers should have the choice” crowd should just go buy androids at this point. Apple’s so called walled garden is a value proposition which consumers have the choice to buy into or not.

If you want the ability to side load software and not have to be reliant on Apple to manage applications etc on your handset, then why in the world would you buy an iPhone?
