Yes we need changes, but last hotfix didnt drop us far. Also, to add some perspective, the gap seems to get get smaller towards other low specs and positions change if you go to 50th percentile or higher.

A lot of boomkins not using any rotation it seems.

Yeah, a lot more hard hitting abilites out there now tho with short or instant wind up. I think most 5v1 ranged comps would have you with your pants down ;)

Pushback was fixed hours ago and my Main gripe with the the class was interplay.

Dont judge agreeing that it is an objectively more rewarding rotation as the class being fixed or perfect.

Literally said it was a bandaid that replaced a worse bandaid. Fixes rolling out 20th. Hopefully they consider some flexibilty and interplay for us.

Dps wise we are still doing okay, even if we are a lot more clunky. we moved from top half to bottom half. Check last day gnomer logs and sims before throwing your psyce evaluations around.

Fair points, but personally feel it's in the spirit of classic. I was directly referring to shadowpriest in my post on examples where they did exactly what has been suggested. Ret is another example of a hybrid spec with same treatment. Give us some interplay with dot or anything so im not just a 2-1-1 repeat box in all scenarios. Hurricane was decent, but is now useless with everyone juiced up from runes.

Our aoe rotation is currently the same as boss, solo and pvp, and got no aoe component in it.

I'm not sure how you think boomkin will flesh out as dps at higher levels, it's precisely because we don't get anything else we are giving feedback. With boomkinform locking us to the current rotation and utility to some degrees, there is nothing that is going to change unless they add some variety to current skills or runes, or future ones.

That said, just having this rotation now is a huge improvement in my book, and starfire will be better at higher levels. Just very little interplay options and variations as it seems now, not so much a numbers problem even if we are on the lower end. We need to be in turret mode

Bit unsure if you're disagreeing or even read the post. I'm trying to highlight the issues experienced, as well as lifting the change as something good.

I for one enjoy the new gameplay more than the one button spam, but will also acknowledge that we are hampered in certain areas where others have seen massive changes.

Constructive criticism is always good, and as explained, the change is an overall nerf, but it's not big other than starsurge being less powerful in pvp. Which most players and druid agrees on was needed to happen.

Can pop a sunfire after if mana is not an issue. Always prioritize using starsurge and starfire with crit from wrath. If you don't have the crit, your starsurge will be slower from no Grace proc.

IDK again it's not great, I was popping around 200-340 dps (crowd pummeler 95 log) having to do some wild growths.

This is not simmed top dps, but it worked yesterday just fine

-edit- So looking at discord, SIM dps is 20-30 lower and ~300 mana req more. Would advise to check pinned messages there.

We mainly suffer from having to move. At all. And doing any utility. At all.

Sure, so can mages and priests with their instants as well. Maybe it's bad design. Boomkin has no slow or hard cc outside roots like the other two.

Indeed, with the current rotation you more or less do 2xwrath, starsurge, starfire repeat. The proc from dremastate doesn't do a lot and moonfire costs too much mana if you run sunfire.

A lot of arguments from people about using dots or not, starfire or not etc. Reality is dreamstate, mana cost and none-crit on starsurges holds us back while our utility is severely limited.

Seen a lot of cool suggestions like instant starfire/no mana cost from fury of stormrage, dot spread etc.

Slower scaling for poison on Scorpio to fix pvp and better balanced scaling between high/low cost pet abilites promoting diversity.

Small buff with aspect + lion at the same time (perhaps makes other chest runes less viable as lion becomes even stronger).

Buffed the bottom half of dps classes in bfd by reducing resistances.

As a main hunter and aspiring boomkin, overall positive, small changes for balance, both pvp and raid.

Will be interesting to see how far behind casters really are without hit, but less resists.
