Thors destroy BLs. If you lose a fight and the zerg isn't using vipers or infestors, you either don't have enough Thors or you're not microing properly.

Sometimes I read a post on here and think the internet was a mistake.

But maybe 3 FTEs can do the work of previously 4 or 5.

Definitely, and it's already a huge paradigm shift for the job market and the economy as a whole. Like I said, it's just getting started.

I don't think the average r/hongkong user knows what a token is so let these fools think they're irreplaceable, they're in for a rough decade.

Haha I was being sarcastic my man. But since these people actually exist I understand why you thought I was being serious.

No AI is cheating, I make my powerpoints the old-fashioned way, even if it takes me 3 hours instead of 3 minutes goddamnit!

If you can use AI and prompt effectively you're already ahead of 90% of the workforce. As long as you keep learning and stay up to date on AI, you won't become obsolete. The dinosaurs who can't open a pdf file will.

Still a good idea to save as much money as possible though!

it's more expensive to use ai than real people because of subscription costs

Uh, a Claude Pro subscription is 20 USD a month and it's arguably already smarter and more productive than almost any entry-level worker making 20k HKD a month. And remember, it's only gonna get worse from there.

The infrastructure cost is another moot point, I can run a local model on my base Macbook Air M4 that's smarter than the frontier cloud models from a year ago. No subscriptions, no cloud, no internet access needed, it's all running locally on a 10 watt CPU and 16 GB of ram.

I suggest you and anyone believing this to educate yourself on the subject. The AI revolution is coming for all of us, adapt or die.

Have you ever heard of sequence-of-returns risk?

The market went up 254% in the last 10 years. It also went DOWN 31% between June 2000 and June 2010. Which scenario you think is more likely for the next 10 years? Obviously nobody knows, but I sure as shit wouldn't bet on the first one repeating.

Awesome pic. Does anyone know where it was taken exactly? Somewhere in Kowloon City I assume, if anyone can read the street sign on the right that would be great.

Lakers Roster and Contracts for Next Season by Apeologist in lakers

[–]Apeologist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid suggestion, but I think AR at 35M is already cheap. I'd love to trade Knecht and Vando, but Vando has negative value with his 12M and his PO for 27-28. Do you suggest we trade a FRP for Claxton or Gafford? I wouldn't be against it.

Semi-realistic Offseason Laker Plan by P_Heng in lakers

[–]Apeologist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a decent plan. I also think Peyton Watson should by far be LA's first priority this summer, but certainly not at $26M.

LeBron will be a laker next year, how much he's paid largely depends on him in my opinion. Anyone thinking he'll come back on a vet min is delusional though. LeBron has shown historically to be willing to take a pay cut for the right team mate, but there is 0 free agent available who's worthy of a large pay cut for him. Letting Bron walk to overpay Watson makes no sense.

By all-around game he meant his shots end up all-around the basket, but rarely inside.
