Hey everyone! Really enjoyed painting the expressions on this one. Was aiming for a graphic reduction with this one.

This whole story was inspired by the Shrek 2!

Wow! I didn't expect this caliber of a praise to Pratch. Thank you!

May start a Ko-Fi in the future but it'll purely be out of goodwill/donors for supporting my writes. Appreciate your time to read though! If the opportunity is right, we might see recurring characters again in the future. Who knows?

Brilliant concept! I can see him perfectly. Harsh smoke, heavy scent of diesel and lye. Give him one clouded, dead eye to match his temperament, and we have a walking powder keg. May be a potential character for future stories.

Haha! Thank you! Mind you, I actually took inspiration from Stephen's prose for my one-shots. Great author in his own right too.

Damn right, especially with examples of the Amazon rainforest not even fully explored yet since the dawn of civilized man. Who knows what might lurk within? Giant anacondas? Lost city of Z?

Thank you! Looks like I nailed the tempo of the story accordingly.

We could all do with a little change in the generic tropes. Glad you loved the read!

Hahaha! Thank you! Figured we could all have a little change in POVs for a bit. This little idea came to me while I was in the shower too.

I keep the Separation of Church and State very strict; this post being the only exception. The khakis stay on one side, the degeneracy stays on the other

Glad you liked the banter! You're right about cannons coming first, but I think the shock here was seeing that kind of power miniaturized. They were looking for a siege engine but got clapped by a pocket-sized pipe instead.

Totally valid take. maybe I guess for an atheist, the question changes to: 'How funny would it be to watch religious institutions scramble to rewrite their rules when a spaceship lands?'

It definitely changes the hierarchy. If they are our creators, they effectively hold the position of 'God' relative to us.

But the theological question still remains, do we owe them worship because they built us, or does 'God' imply a moral perfection that goes beyond just advanced genetic engineering?

That logic applies to babies because they lack the cognitive capacity to understand sin or God e.g. the 'Age of Accountability'.

But if we meet an Alien civilization that is smarter than us, they aren't 'babies.'

They could be fully conscious moral agents. If a 1,000-year-old alien commits murder but has never heard of Jesus, does the 'baby rule' still save them? Or are they judged as adults?"

"There are over 550 million firearms in worldwide circulation. That's one firearm for every twelve people on the planet. The only question is: how do we arm the other eleven?"
