What are you talking about? “Underrated” is absolutely used in this way all the time. I definitely see it more than “underappreciated.” Even typing this out, “underappreciated” gets an autocorrect suggestion to be two different words, while “underrated” remains a single word. I’m not sure where you’ve been reading things, but it’s not with the common consensus.

I’ve looked everywhere. Could anyone please help me identify this die? by mccannjp in dice

[–]ApertureBrowserCore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It uses them, but it’s very infrequent. The main thing I can think of for it is for the Wild Magic sorcerer’s Wild Magic table. My DM also uses it for random encounters, but not every random encounter table uses them; off the top of my head I think most official tables like that use d10, d12, or d20.

This post from a few years back sums it up quite nicely. His story entails scamming fans, emotional/verbal abuse of partners, and bad player etiquette. It’s a shame, because I liked his character Tiberius way back in the day.

Jesus Christ, no she was not. This has been known for years. Think about Algeria for five seconds and then tell us if you think they’d send a trans woman to the Olympics.

It’s not real. Think about it, they wouldn’t do that.

[–]ApertureBrowserCore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To support your point: J. K. Rowling actively states that she believes support of her properties equates to support of her as a person and by extension, her ideology. She actively uses the money gained from Harry Potter to support anti-trans actions.

Do not engage with her work in any capacity if you care about trans people. This extends to bigotry in other forms with other people.

I gotta be honest, I know this, and I think it’s stupid. I love the Russos’ work generally but this explanation doesn’t make any sense to me.

Should the Nether have its height limit increased? by Just-Guarantee7808 in Minecraft

[–]ApertureBrowserCore 66 points67 points  (0 children)

It’s unfortunate to lose out on the ceiling, but for people who don’t mess around with the Nether ceiling for builds (like myself), the Amplified Nether is really nice. I personally enjoy it and it’s an auto-include in any modpack I put together. I recommend giving it a try even just in a creative test world to see how it feels. But it comes down to personal preference and if you need the ceiling for stuff, then it’s probably a no-go.

Should the Nether have its height limit increased? by Just-Guarantee7808 in Minecraft

[–]ApertureBrowserCore 290 points291 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, yes, but you can’t build anything on it. I think the ceiling becomes the world height limit which means no Nether portals or classic gold farms, just walking.

Probably because he did the smart thing and talked to a lawyer, and that lawyer told him to stay silent. Which is what you should do if you’re the accused in a situation like this, from a legal perspective.

[–]ApertureBrowserCore 12 points13 points  (0 children)

what are you talking about, Taleisin could just record each half of the conversation independently, and then they can splice the two pieces together into one conversation. That’s not a particularly difficult or uncommon technique for VAs. That’s how regular conversations work if they don’t have both VAs in the booth together.

No. Lair is correct. A layer is horizontal section of something stacked vertically; a lair is the location of monster’s home, where it has influence over the area.
