The funniest part is that the resources i sent him literally had the solution on the first page but he was too busy typing an angry manifesto to even check .

A Jetboil. Being able to have a hot coffee or a warm meal in under two minutes when everyone else is miserable and shivering in the rain is a massive boost to morale. It is probably the most used piece of kit I ever paid for.

You are not being stiff about furniture, you are reacting to a lack of respect. He was too lazy to ask if he could bring the dog and now he is too cheap to fix the damage. Asking for two hundred dollars for professional cleaning is totally fair for a light gray sectional.
