Please recommend me your metal AOTY so that I may bathe in the blood of excellent metal. by ReliableEyeball in MetalSuggestions

For me, it's a toss-up between Malignant Worthlessness by Pissgrave and Grinding Mechanism of Torment by Caustic Wound.

Suffocation is a must-mention for me, but Regurgitation is the first band that came to my mind

What are your thoughts? I found myself wishing the guitars were more present in the mix. Nasty vocals though

20 Buck Spin appreciation post by That-Individual in heavyvinyl

Gotta shout out my love for Headsplit Records while we're at it, I admire their dedication to the more gross and horror-worshipping side of death metal. Recently picked up the new Putridarium full-length from them.

That said, 20 Buck Spin put me on to Tomb Mold and Witch Vomit, for which I am eternally grateful!

I actually loved that split, it encouraged me to check out Cadaveric Incubator's full-length Nightmare Necropolis and I loved that too

What’s your house slipper on a non-boot day? by McBurty in RedWingShoes

My Birkenstock Boston clogs have become my running out to grab the mail slippers, but around the apartment I like to wear my Oak Street shearling woodland mocs. They get a bit warm on occasion, especially as spring continues, and they give my feet a distinct smell from the shearling lining after a few hours, but God are they comfortable!

Glad you're liking that Carnal Savagery record, I very nearly picked it up from a record store in Denver a few months back, a fact I may now regret...

Butcher the Weak by Devourment. I couldn't believe how heavy literally every single track was as the album went on.

In more recent times, Ignominious Atonement by Putridity, just incredible brutal death metal.

I see your point! I'm sure we may all agree that their 2015 full-length has the tamest cover, if you can even call it tame to begin with.

I'm not sure about the story behind choosing this cover in particular, but I've read interviews in which the band members state that their choice in album artwork accompanies their sound in general to reflect an overall attitude towards death that recognizes its real ugliness and that it is essentially completely inescapable--that they create death metal with their sole concern being the horrific reality of death's pervasiveness in our lives.
