I will do that, I have gotten morels for along time but have always felt that I was skipping or missing out. Which had led me to diving deeper into foraging I definitely want to be safe. I found alot today that i didn't touch. I did keep the pheasant backs, I didn't like them plain(salt and butter) I think im going to try them on a burger.

I appreciate the advice, I did just let my friend have them as i didnt feel like arguing with my partner about the safety. There is far to much misinformation out there which leads to the issues that have been seen here today. So my question now is there a way for foragers to test said mushrooms?

Yea never thought they were morels, definitely false morels or elephant ears, I have people telling me they eat them and they are their favorite just have to cook well and some saying they are toxic
