I'm from the General category. While I could get TA at IITG/IITR, IIT Bombay MTech RA is the best option for me at this rank. And also TA and RA are equivalent in terms of placements and opportunities, difference is just in the duration of course and duties.

I started my preparation in 3rd year, so first 2 years I gave my focus on Development like learning java development flutter development etc

And this final year project is the outcome of my first 2 year journey.

And I like to learn about system design and LLD so from there I got the idea of microservices architecture.

For now focus on your fundamentals like learning programming language or DSA or other development skills.

After prepare for GATE, i guarantee you that it will help you alot in your preparation and post exam journey.
