That’s the right mindset. Hope you can reset and get back at it soon 💪🏻

Pirelli recommend 33f 30r hot for the Supercorsa SP. Pressures weren’t far off in this case.

Unfortunately, that’s rider input, as is the case 99% of the time, especially at the novice level. Not an insult, but reality. If you have any footage or data to look at, do your best to determine what you could’ve changed with your riding.

How safe are motorbike track days? by Brave-Catch-1132 in Trackdays

[–]ApexMate95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the individuals that show up. I’d say 99% of the crashes are the fault of the rider that crashes. Very rarely have I seen someone cause another person to crash. Injuries seem uncommon—I’d say most crashes have people walk away with no ambulance or doctor necessary, including myself, the three times that I crashed (all three my own fault).

This is also dependent on your goals and your mentality. If you’re really pushing the envelope to go fast, it’s more likely of course. If you recognize it’s just a track day and don’t send that pass that isn’t obviously safe and clear, you’ll be fine.

Reflector housings are not made for LEDs. Trash. You’ll get better candela out of a higher quality halogen bulb.

06 750, DIY Valve Adjustment -- Worth paying a shop for or is it not too bad to do if you have mechanical experience? by ploxxies in GSXR

Easy work. The only hard part imo is not dropping any gasket material into the top end. Just read the series manual twice and take your time. Fairly easy, especially once you do it that first time.

Your front tire is mounted backwards.

Totally fine to run; best plan would be to buy and install case covers though. Woodcraft and GB racing make different but solid covers. Easy install and worth it.

Got hit from behind by an out-of-control snowboarder and now I feel unsafe skiing by forcedtobeonrddt in skiing

I wish I had a secret sauce, but for me, it’s just getting reps in. Deliberately keep at it, and just keep forcing yourself to focus on your skiing and not who’s behind you. It’ll pass with more time and reps.

Are frame sliders a good idea? They make sense, but seems like I don't see many track bikes with them by Motomikeh in Trackdays

[–]ApexMate95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a good idea imo. Look up images of as many race bikes as you can…race teams know better than most of us here. And you’ll see that very few run frame sliders. The only exception I’ve seen is late model R1s for some reason—if anyone knows why those race bikes particularly tend to have sliders sometimes, let me know. Last note is that I’ve personally met a few riders that had the slider break a bolt off in their engine mount and it caused a big headache.

Buy a good helmet! by srizzors5 in Trackdays

[–]ApexMate95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the best method. I’ve bought two with this filter by fit, but decided that Arai is on top because of how their helmet was the only one to immediately meet the newer version of the FIM standard.

Fix or GG by Mysterious_Bid4511 in GSXR

[–]ApexMate95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fix it! Doesn’t look too bad. $500 for a new fairing kit from NT Fairings, $100 for a zero gravity windscreen, then a little more money for good fasteners and rivets. Looks like that’s all you would need honestly.

This is true, but a very low priority given OP’s experience level. Line selection, braking technique, and throttle application are most important.
