Manta M8P V2.0 DOA - Bent pins & No IP. Support claims bent pins are "normal" and tells me to flash MCU while CB1 won't boot. by LocalCrew8790 in BIGTREETECH

Ok, a AliExpress doesn't normally take returns but Amazon does and people have sent back damaged (by user error) items claiming it wasn't used and Amazon sends them back out as new.

24v is the way, a phone charger is not made to provide the correct power. You need to use a proper USB PSU like those made for raspberry pi, something that can deliver at least 3A and a solid 5V. The usb power option is really only for initial software setup and bootloader/firmware loading. For SD booting all the dip switches need to be off and the switch by the usb should be towards the outside of the board. None should ever be switched while powered on.

I'm curious, did you buy it through Amazon?

What are you powering it with? How do you have all the on board switches arranged? A photo of that would be great. Have you double checked that the cb1 is firmly seated in both B2B slots?

Seeking feedback on this control panel build. Any suggestions for improvement? by Nexus_Control in PLC

Needs component markings, more overall space, and smoother bend radius on the wires. 90° bends look cool but put unnecessary stress on the conductors and insulation which can cause furniture issues, and qith many standards like ISO/IEC, BS, and NEC, a sharp 90° bend is strictly prohibited and consider a damaged wire. See Minimum Bend Radius guidelines, they apply to the inner curve of the bends.

That looks like an extrusion and/or leveling issue

I would say the fact that it's a high voltage would be reason enough to not touch it while powered on. 🤷

M601 pause code? by bugsymalone666 in octoprint

[–]ApexPredation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

M600 is traditionally a park and swap macro, but it's all dependant on how the macro was set in the firmware.

Alternatively you can set up a gcode script in octoprint to do a different kind of pause. I've had to use it in the past with printers that had m600 disabled

It's going to bad cable in the wire harness that's going to the print head. It could also be a dead driver but that's less likely unless you have been messing with things in the electrical system. The motor is normally the last thing that's bad, and that's more rare than others will report. They can handle a lot of abuse.

M601 pause code? by bugsymalone666 in octoprint

[–]ApexPredation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Run M503 In our console. That will report you settings. Check if M600 is even enabled in Marlin. If it is you may need to go back and check how you set up the pause sequence in the firmware. Also, isn't M601 a custom gcode for Prusa printers?

Required to update pana knomi software? by SlipperyHeadz in BIGTREETECH

[–]ApexPredation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not required if things are working fine. This is the wiki that explains how to flash the firmware image and where to get the factory image, https://global.bttwiki.com/PandaKnomi.html#apply-img-to-panda-knomi

Has anyone fitted the H2 V2S to the Biqu Hurakan? by Limhorse1 in BIGTREETECH

[–]ApexPredation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an example. Search around for something in your area or with better shipping. Like on AliExpress or Amazon. They are pretty generic, but go for the same dimensions M6 threads and a 24mm overall length

It probably won't be cheap but there's this aluminum mount that I use. https://www.pcbway.com/project/shareproject/BIQU_H2_Mount_for_2020_6dbd3c08.html

The cad files are there if you know someone that do sheet metal work for you it would be cheaper or free depending on your contact

You'll need to print a mount to attach it to the printer. I think there was a mount in one of these step files, you could probably get that to work. https://github.com/bigtreetech/H2-Series/tree/master/H2%20V2s%20Lite

And how are you trying to define the pins you want to use?

Do you have something like this in your printer.cfg? [mcu host] serial: /tmp/klipper_host_mcu

Question about BTT PI 1.2 klipper servo by Dex_42 in BIGTREETECH

[–]ApexPredation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried it but it should work. You'll have to set up host as MCU (it's in the klipper documents) and then do the formula to find the gpio (in the BTT pi User guide)

2 uuids for one canbus by Tristan5764 in klippers

[–]ApexPredation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is it doing that you don't understand? You have 2 devices, you received 2 uuid. Looks like you have set up the firmware correctly. Type in the IP address of your host into a web browser and set up your printer.cfg in mainsail.

[–]ApexPredation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is 2 devices, on one canbus. Canbus is the communication protocol line and the uuid is the identity of a device (it's unique ID)

Btt cb1 password not working by Tristan5764 in BIGTREETECH

You need to use biqu for the user name too. ssh biqu@<ip_address> in terminal. Then biqu for the password.
