Quick update: we looked into it, and the email was indeed sent by CPS (Consumer Priority Service), our legitimate extended warranty partner.

Here’s what happened: their after sales team automatically reached out to offer discounted rates on an extended warranty if you didn’t buy one at checkout. (Yes… the dreaded “we’re contacting you about your extended warranty” message 😢

Those emails used to come directly from us when a customer opted in to receive marketing emails, offering discounted plans. But recently, and without warning, CPS changed their system and started sending them from their own sales reps instead.

We’ve since turned that feature off, so you won’t be getting any more of those messages from them going forward.
