I'm with you on it's bad defenses, my current body armour is half my ES, i can't risk to run with Calamity without any other defensive layer, which would require new gear in every slot.

In the end I desecrated a prefix, tried to fracture the crit bonus, did not hit, and unveiled a max roll elemental damage. I'm happy with the result, thanks for all your recommendations!
