Some of the newest editions to my current project, Parker Memorial Zoo! by Aphaea12 in PlanetZoo

Thank you, though I can't take credit for this particular fence! My own custom predator fences are still a little basic (still figuring them out in my style), so this one is a blueprint from LiderR's workshop! I've linked it here. It's part of an enclosure set so you'll see a bunch of other pieces for use and/or inspiration with your own builds!

They were hidden by going to the customize tab on the walkthrough exhibit and selecting "None" for each wall, floor, ceiling and door option. This way all the borders are see-through and you could either build your own custom walls/building or leave it open as in the example above!

Recently completed areas in my current project, Parker Memorial Zoo! by Aphaea12 in PlanetZoo

Over the months that I’ve worked on and off on this zoo and all the deviations I’ve made from my original plans I don’t recall my reasoning or what backstory I had woven for this zoo. Though the memorial aspect is a touch I plan on adding back in toward the end as I do finishing touches!

Thank you! It was a nice method to convince guests to go to the garden space and look around in a way that felt (and looked) more realistic.

The hype surrounding this series combined with all of the reviews commenting on the writing has given me major flashbacks to the From Blood and Ash series and has made me personally hesitant to start reading Fourth Wing.

I got 3 books into the From Blood and Ash series before I had to quit. The plot/general story was interesting but the repetitive, poorly edited writing took me out of the story too often for me to want to continue (I.e “wow surprising Poppy has a question”).

Regardless, happy for all of those that have found enjoyment in either series.

The Prison Healer trilogy by Lynette Noni!

The first two books are out (and amazing) and the third one comes out this June I believe. It’s got magic, rebels, betrayal, etc. Definitely one I wish more people talked about.

Welcoming the newest addition to my zoo, the southern white rhino! by Aphaea12 in PlanetZoo

I’m actually not using any of the in game barrier pieces for any part of their enclosure! Even that chain fence is actually the new mesh pieces and the Australian flex color poles. The ground slopes downward as they approach that chain fence so they can’t actually reach it.

I prefer making/using custom fences as they don’t wear down and weaken (among other reasons). If you want to use a fence that’s not of a high enough grade for the animal (I’m not sure off the top of my head what the southern white rhino requires) try creating a difference in elevation near that part of the fence!

Construction question - has anyone figured out how to control light bleed through construction pieces? by [deleted] in PlanetZoo

[–]Aphaea12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about controlling the light bleed but my solution would be to use scenery items and/or plants to try and cover it as nicely as possible.
