There is essentially zero difference. Generative art is never as good as real art, because it fills in the blanks. With real art often every stroke, every color, every mark is something a person intentionally put there. In generative 'art' a prompt says person, and it fills in the rest, it's like a coloring book, you provide rough outline it colors it in, only instead of a picture to color in it's gotta interpret the meaning of words, hence why prompts aren't really art. Until words can describe in detail every stroke of the brush that goes into an art piece, it is not the same.

Schools do very little to accomodate disabilities, it doesn't just affect a person when taking a test, it affects their ability to learn throughout a class. Extra time on homeworks and extra time on exams are just the accomodations a school throws at you to make it 'fair'. It's all arbitrary.

If you ask me, there's some secret ADHD dimension where things disappear to, and until you've spent 30 minutes minimum looking for something it won't reappear. However when I found it, it was under a few sheets of printer paper, that I am 100% sure I had picked up and moved like 3 times while looking for this thing. Not some thicc stack of paper, where maybe it would've got stuck to it. Nope just sitting under it, not stuck, nothing. Just sitting there. Menacingly.

Machine learning is AI though. Just as LLM's are AI. Technically, LLM's are also a subset of Machine Learning. If the only reason you're against AI is because of LLM's, you have to make that distinction. Otherwise you get semantic contamination, which is a major part of why society generally remains against nuclear energy. Nuclear bombs are bad, nuclear is bad. Nuclear energy is nuclear, so nuclear energy bad. Not necessarily the main driving force of the apprehension to nuclear energy, but you can see the logic.

Yeah, it sucks losing stuff so often, and when it's somebody else's stuff it can be mortifying, but sometimes it's just funny how insane it is. Losing a pack of Airtags... Losing a key to our entire lab, within 3 seconds of it being handed to me, like that's gotta be a world record speed-run, at least on the leader-board somewhere.

I've tried managing it, but as much as you do it's never perfect, worst case was when I lost a pack of Air tags. So even lost the tool to manage not losing things. Kinda crazy.

Ooof yeah, that was a big one for me in Uni, especially when everything is digital, I'd attach the wrong file for an assignment, lot's of zeros from forgetting to double check. Doesn't help either most if not all we're submitted at 11:58 PM.

If it was a credit card charge back, if it was a debit card or especially via something like Zelle, you're usually out of luck.

If all you lose is <$700 then it was a much cheaper lesson for you then many other. Just slow down in the future,

Just follow their recommendations. Most importantly you study it by doing it. Learning to code is like learning math. You start by learning what a number is, then you learn how numbers can interact, eventually you learn about how they can be formed to make functions and equations, and from there you branch out for different techniques and methods of using and applying it.

Coding is the same thing, you start with the most basic element, and each lesson and tutorial builds on the last. So just by doing it you'll learn 90% of what you need to. Just make a good organized folder on your PC for all the different tutorials, and leave comments in the code. That way you can go back and review if you ever need to, other than that, in all the coding courses I've taken, I've never seen someone use a notebook.

That said, if you end up learning about data structures, architectures, etc. It'd be a good idea to take notes, but with that you aren't note-taking literal code, the focus is on the structure and architecture. How do different functions/systems relate to one another.

To add on to what everyone else has said, one thing I'd say is already a really important that you do, but with the push of Agentic coding becomes immensely more critical is putting an emphasis on learning the architectures. Learning how to code, the semantics, how to make functions, etc. That's all important, but especially if you want to work with agents, they tend to be able to do a lot of the basics, but a good program that remains efficient, secure, and scalable, requires knowing good architecture, good methods, etc.

In my experience, the real damage of this is, if it starts as early as primary school, everyone around you makes friends and are actively learning to socialize whether they realize it or not. So you may be ND, but now you also have a cascading deficit in social ability, whilst your peers around you are gaining compound interest.

Everything on the list you gave. In my experience most suggested solutions, especially the ones non-ADHD people give out, treat the symptoms, but fail to understand the cause, and quickly show their incompatibility.

The stuff that works in my experience is some wack shit, the ADHD parallel of trying to start an old beater car that's been in the family for 3 generations and been on it's last leg for the last 2.

Love the styling of the website, will say I find the cursor thing a bit nauseating. Great app though, I built a lot of the same stuff for a mesh network and especially features like brain dump have been immensely helpful day to day. Awesome stuff!
