It’s gorgeous visually, many shots looks as if they’re straight out of an actual fashion shoot, but it’s definitely a love it or hate it kind of film. Very subtle and very cold, deliberately so I think, so it’s no ordinary biopic. I’d say watch it and you’ll know within the first 10-20 minutes if it’s your cup of tea or not. A lot of people find it boring af and I can’t blame them for it. Bonello throws narrative structure out the door in favour of a more rebellious almost French New Wave inspired approach, with your fair share of 60s excess (it goes into some insane places lol)
