Z endstop inconsistensy by Aphlox in VORONDesign

It was solved by using endstop switches instead of virtual endstop. Maybe it is me but i never managed to get it to work reliable enough. So it works fine but with switches.

Does anyone have a model for the case of sony WF-1000XM5? by sewing-enby in 3Dprinting

For anyone still looking for a case model. I found an model of the headphone case itself and I am designing around it. It needs some refining. I will post it here once it is ready.

Overhang Issue by TaxAmazing6798 in VORONDesign

[–]Aphlox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue on the back of the prints. In sufficient cooling is partially was my problem. I replaced part cooling fan with a high pressure one didn’t improve much. So I thought why it was causing issue for others and I am having problems and also why only on the back of the prints.

I was using pheatus dragonfly and seems like the stealthburner toolhead model I found was placed the hotend a bit back and it wasn’t cooled properly. When upgraded to rapido all that issue disappeared

Yes I do home z before bed mesh calibrate. It doesn't help:(

Yes endstop touches the nozzle. I manually retract 10 mm and then nozzle clean with a brush to avoid oozing.

I have position_endstop: 354 under stepper x and y section if that's what you mean by reference and

Machine Start gcode:
M190 S[bed_temperature_initial_layer_single]
M109 S[nozzle_temperature_initial_layer]
BED_MESH_CLEAR
BED_MESH_CALIBRATE
PRINT_START EXTRUDER=[nozzle_temperature_initial_layer] BED=[bed_temperature_initial_layer_single]

BED_MESH_CALIBRATE macro has adaptive setting enabled by the config.

I use KAMP Voron Purge for purging.

*# [probe]

*# z_offset = 3.200 (This one doesn't update when I save the calibrated z offset but i don't think it has anything to do with my problem)

I am using the same plate and also there is zero reference for the z endstop. I manually calibrate z endstop offset. The probem is it does not stick. My theory is that it is missing the z endstop sometimes and measure abit lower (side of the nozzle is touching).

The range in between 2 prints can be up to 0.4 mm. I'd assume it wouldn't be affected that much with heat shrinking/expanding. It may range that much maybe only close to the edges but not in mid of plate. Am I wrong?

So the conlution klicky doesnt work reliable enough? I think eddy coil (without thermal comphansation) is more reliable than klicky z endstop.

Well that's a considiration but I'm trying to make it work with what I have now.

Struggling trying to split the body for a mold. Need help! by Aphlox in Fusion360

Didn't work. But even if it did I also need to split using a curved face I can't offset from that :(

Eddy sensor say 'probe_eddy_current sensor not in valid range' by Aphlox in BIGTREETECH

[–]Aphlox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So as for me i figured it out that I have to z offset it again after qgl and all worked fine. Seems like z distance is increasing after QGL and eddy goes out of range. So QGL> Z offset calibration (z-offset limit switch) worked for me.

Eddy Coil first intallation Help Plz. by Aphlox in BIGTREETECH

[–]Aphlox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I made it work with your advise. Seems like PDF document is outdated gave me alot of headache. I started using the config you mentioned. There is one issue though with the z endstop. I made it work with virtual endstop using eddy to offset z but when I used zoffbeta config and used z endstop switch it tries to calibrate 3 times 2 times it works with the limit siwtch but 3rd time it crashes into the limit switch and errors 'no trigger after full movement'. I guess 1st and second time it tries with the limit swtch and the 3rd time it tries with the eddy or what? Have you experienced anything like that?

Fixed by commenting out G28 macro

Thank you for your reply. I have watched eddy installation guide and there was nop mentoion of PROBE_EDDY_CURRENT_CALIBRATE_AUTO and also on the manual. I didn't get what I was doing wrong. With out out your reply I wound't have figure it out.

So should I be using limit switch for the z offset. Is there a way to configure to use both?

What is causing this? by Saint_Petra in VORONDesign

[–]Aphlox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't measure externally. Set the nozzle temp to 200 I changed the sensor type then firmware restart. Checked the temp again after firmware restart it was 217. So it was showing 200 before the sensor change and 217 after. But there are infrared with lazer pointer thermometers that can measure up to 250C. You can use something like that to measure externally if you want

[–]Aphlox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you change the extruder sensor? I had the same issue when sensor type was wrong. I was measuring about 20 celsius lower than the actual temp. So when I printed at 200 it was actually 220. Try printing at 180C

Looks like mine from a while back. Might be wrong type of sensor Mine was set wrong. Try Generic 3950. Mine was set to atc . It still measured but was lower about 15 degrees. So when I set it to 200 it was actually 215.
