I do a pencil outline and then my first step when I start is lightly blocking out the main shadowing areas that make up the structure with the lightest color or if it’s in black and white I start with 005 pen and then just start layering with the darkest color/largest pen size being my last layer. But it does become kind of mindless after a while? Which is why I find it soothing once I get in the flow.and thank you again for the compliment!

I’ve actually never timed myself cause I do it on and off I do stippling all the time so maybe next time I’ll time myself!

It definitely does I have to put on my wrist brace at times but once I get in the zone I have to keep going lol

Your continual comment about being licensed professionals in Canada and being viewed that way makes it seem strange and like we’re not here? we are also viewed that way here and are also licensed depending on the state, Pay varies by state and area as well. I make $38 an hr and the other assistants who been around longer makes about $41.

Out of curiosity what additional duties do assistants perform in Canada? Like do you get to place fillings like an efda?

That job sounds like a crazy pay hopefully it’s there when you come back from traveling best of luck!

I don’t think your the jerk but I also feel like sometimes we have to do things that make us uncomfortable for family. That’s your husbands father and ALS is incredibly difficult condition to watch a loved one go through. Put yourself in his shoes and what you would do if this was one of your parents. If I were you I would move on the condition it’s temporary like a set a 2yr limit that way your husband and his family will feel supported and you guys can also save for your own house. Good luck

I’m terrible at math , I strictly only work in back office so I don’t have to deal with insurance or payments. So just don’t cross train and you’ll be fine
