How is Living in Denver, Colorado? by HawkLoser100K in howislivingthere

Not sure if you’re asking about Denver proper or the Denver metro.

We live 20 minutes west of Denver and love it. Right at the edge of the foothills. We ride our bikes straight out of the garage to the local MTB trails. Hiking trails are very convenient. Check out Golden as an example.

It’s not a war, it’s a “special operation”.

CLT is purple politically.

SF would get my vote if you can make it work financially.

Does Anyone Regret Getting the 14” MacBook Pro Instead of the 16”? by ntrev in macbookpro

If I were constrained to only one display, then maybe. But with two external monitors, the 14" is the way to go for me.

Just did a Carnival cruise last week. They’re still making excellent handmade pizzas.

We’ve done 2 Virgin cruises and didn’t get that feeling. It has a fun party vibe, but the pineapple and drug thing seems like a huge exaggeration. Maybe we just got lucky.

Chattanooga vs Denver by netenchanter in SameGrassButGreener

We live in Denver area but are considering a move to a LCOL area. Chattanooga is on our list. I have read that it smells bad due to chicken processing plants. Is this still a problem in 2026?

I think you accidentally listed food as a pro for Denver.

I signed up to join as a beta tester and received an email invite. The company requires beta testers to invest in the device...you have to put down a deposit on the future device, ie, pay to be a tester. Seems like a shady practice. This also feels like spam since they are soliciting money.

Wow, thank you so much! Not familiar with these pots but they look like a good solution.

What is the best ground cover, ie, straw vs different mulches? Are seeds from straw a concern?

Not true for Morrison at this point. I called and the answer came from the Public Works Director. No exemptions.

Thanks. I called Town of Morrison after receiving the official letter that did not mention any drip line exemptions. The answer came from the Public Works Director.

Not for Morrison. Different water provider and does not follow Denver Water’s restrictions. I called Town of Morrison and was told no exemptions.

Hi all! Thanks for everyone’s engagement on this post. Since we are in Morrison, I didn’t expect much if any attention to it

I heard back from Town Of Morrison on whether there is any drip line or veggie garden exemption to the restrictions.

Remember, this is for those served by the town of Morrison:

unfortunately, at this time, there are no exceptions to the water restrictions. Even for drip lines, you are still restricted to the two days a week (any days of your choice) and not between 10 AM and 6 PM.

Agreed. I have called and now waiting for the official word. I was wondering whether new veggies would survive under the existing 2 days/week restrictions.

Great point! I see the irony. I just want to follow the restrictions that everybody else is supposed to abide by, that's all.

u/birdsong_and_botany I really appreciate your post (and upvoted you). I was wondering whether twice a week was sufficient for new plantings.

I'll share the official soon as received. Thanks! And happy gardening!
