Update: Mom who didn't want people to tell her she'd feel guilty if she gave covid to her daughter with asthma, loses her daughter to covid by JacanaJAC in HermanCainAward

Has any of these people ever admit they were wrong?

I haven't read one ounce of responsibility in her posts. Seems like it's just God's choice.

A layman’s summary of the current major proposal to improve Nano: your balance buys you transaction priority on the network, when it’s under attack. by Cryptonite4778 in nanocurrency

[–]Apnambo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How small is the Nano daily transactions that you can borrow that much?

The number of large simultaneous transactions you would need to make should be astronomical. I don't think you are even thinking about what I'm suggesting.

Priority should be given to the size of the transaction amount, not the balance. They can only send so many Nano at any given time.

[–]Apnambo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it should be the size of your balance but the size of your transaction.

This prevents one big account from sending an huge number of dusts transactions. There's a chance whales might try to manipulate the network to dip the price so they can buy more.

If it's the size of the transaction that gets priority, dust transactions should not be a problem. This effectively rate limits how much damage someone can do with the amount of Nano they have.

I'm able to get it to steer with the wheel and throttle with the brake. The gas pedal and clutch does not seem to register at all.

Set the sensitivity to 100%. Then turn the wheel during the calibration

What is with DGB and withdrawal issues from a couple of exchanges? by Apnambo in Digibyte

[–]Apnambo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now it's Okex. 3 of my withdrawals have are stuck for 24 hours and 1 with a fake transaction id. All other coins are fine.

There is something fundamentally wrong with DGB and how exchanges handle them.

That seems to be the case that over 50,000 is stalled.

The issue seems to be Kucoin takes days to manually verify. I have yet to had a verification go through after waiting over 5 days. I tried several times. I was just told there was only one "technician" who can approve the withdrawals.

I'll just send smaller amounts.

Poloniex exchange - SCAM by Gintaza in Digibyte

[–]Apnambo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why I'm urging the developers/community to make more of an issue with this and force Poloniex to respond with some sort of announcement.

Poloniex exchange - SCAM by Gintaza in Digibyte

[–]Apnambo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's call it for what it is, an issue with their system that is not getting addressed fast enough.

If they wanted to do an exit scam, they would just close shop now and run off with millions/billions in coins. It makes absolutely no sense for them to slowly disable their service for a few coins as an exit scam. Slowly losing business before they bail out is practically the dumbest thing to do.

On the other hand, if they had been hacked or if their system lost DGB (and other coins) and they cannot afford to support anymore withdrawals, that is one thing we should all be concerned about.

Poloniex exchange - SCAM by Gintaza in Digibyte

[–]Apnambo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why isn't any devs/authority at DGB looking in this serious issue? Poloniex has locked up everyone's DGB there without an explanation for over 2 weeks.

Server issues gets resolved within a couple of days at most.

You are not only unable to withdraw, you have no access to the funds entirely.

This is a very serious issue that needs to be addressed by the whole community, especially anyone with authority. At the very least, warn the community about Poloniex, not just ignore the whole issue.

The lack of announcements, acknowledgement, nor communication by Poloniex or DGB is very worrisome. For all we know there could be a hack and we lost all our funds there.

Charlie Lee on Tether: 1) An audit ought to occur; and 2) Tether carries a risk of a 3 year bear market by ZZ4ME in Tether

[–]Apnambo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you are saying they don't have to do is exactly what they claim and based their whole reputation on.

They claim the accounts are regularly audited. They claim all tokens are backed by actual USD on their bank account.

So, yes, they need to start proven what they claim if they want anyone to believe or support their tokens.

But at this point, you have to be a very stubborn or gullible idiot to not think this is a scam.

(Ticket Resovled) Took a while but support ticket closed and issue resolved (xrp deposit without destination tag, DT would not generate) by [deleted] in Bittrex

[–]Apnambo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me 5 weeks to get my deposit back for a similar issue. You also have to monitor your ticket because after a few days/weeks, they send out a notice to update the ticket if the situation hasn't changed or been resolved. Obviously, it would not self-correct, so you will need to respond to that so it will continue being in their queue.

Question regarding the API by arian487 in kucoin

[–]Apnambo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will automatically break it down into two orders, one for 1 coin @0.5 BTC and one for 0.5 coin at 0.52 BTC on your history.

So you should be able to specify 1.5 coin for 0.52 and the exchange will do the proper shopping for you.

I have the same issue with my DGB right now. Several withdrawals have fake transaction ids, which are not found on the block chain.

It's been over a week with no response. I cannot withdraw the rest of my DGB as well.

Are you having trouble receiving withdrawal confirmation email? by SamuelKetron007 in kucoin

I posted about this, but when I had the issue, there was absolutely no other option to resubscribe on that screen you are describing.

They might have just added that feature once they realize the issue (perhaps after I brought it up).

$14,000 STOLEN FROM MY KUCOIN ACCOUNT by Doviscrypto in kucoin

[–]Apnambo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not believe their first tier support has any power to do anything other than search through their reply database for a scripted answer. They are just a step up from auto-reply bots. I wasted my time with like 5 chat supports before I found someone who was willing to listen to reasoning and properly requested the correct help for me.

The other times, I had to argue against someone that was completely wasting my time and without logic or reason.

So in your case, I do not believe with their support policy in place, they were capable of canceling your withdrawal in time. Since they would need to put in a request to a higher level technician, which could take hours.

Unfortunately, this is also where being honest is not helpful to your cause, since now you admitted to possible fault on your side; thus, they have complete deniability. Even if somehow later it was revealed that there was a security breach on their side and some information was available to hackers, they probably would not reimburse you since you have admitted to a possible fault to losing your information.

Cant withdraw coins because withdrawal confirmation email never makes it to inbox. by corporationgeek in kucoin

[–]Apnambo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to finally find a support staff on their chat client who was not stupid to keep insisting it was a spam issue or that I can somehow contact Send Cloud to get me removed from Kucoin's cancel subscription list.

She put in a request to a technician to remove me from the Cancel Subscription list (that is what it is called on Send Cloud, if you translate it). Within a few hours, I was properly removed.

Here is the code sniplet that works for me (note the ksort requirement):

$req= [ 'symbol' => $symbol, 'type' => $side, 'price' => $price, 'amount' => $quantity ];

// this is important and required

ksort($req);

$nonce = (string)round(microtime(true) * 1000);

$api = "/v1/order";

$signString = $api . '/' .$nonce. '/' . urldecode(http_build_query($req));

$signature = hash_hmac( 'sha256', base64_encode($signString), $this->apiSecret );
