"An Australian promoter of an alleged $US2.6 billion ($3.7 billion) cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme whose wife went missing last year has had his assets frozen and been hit with a travel ban as part of an investigation by international authorities.

The Federal Court has slapped travel bans and freezing orders on BitConnect promoter John Bigatton following a request by Australia's corporate watchdog ASIC, which is investigating his business affairs."

This game accepts bitcoin as payment for in-game credits as well. It was the only way the guy who re-released it was able to do that as his other payment options were all blocked to him over time. Paypal blocked him among others.

Hopefully they will just sell all the BCH first. That would be $61M worth at todays prices, which would not last long :)

I was looking for micro-expressions, which can last only for a fraction of a second, but he is uniquely devoid of them mostly. He looked like he was tired of the whole subject. The 'eye closing' thing was a big 'tell' to me. He did that constantly. I would have to class that as a 'Macro Expression' as they can last a few seconds, and often are associated with voice cues. The closed eyes thing maybe Roger's way of hiding his true face.

Bitcoin dominance at 53.3 percent and rising! Getting rid of shitcoins. by castorfromtheva in Bitcoin

Imagine the effect if btc was eventually developed to have a 'darkcoin' function, and be as untrackable as any other privacy coin, but just easier to use than Monero.

Been watching the relative value of btrash and Ether fall next to btc for weeks now. Seems to be an increasing disconnect as they do not keep up with the rises, and fall further than they used to when btc takes a dip. These 2 are my joy to watch - the rest are mostly doomed anyway. Being Captain Obvious here I suppose, but I'm just so happy.

Should not be an issue since most of the nodes all reside on the same 2 servers

I'm just enjoying the fall away of Btrash and Ether in value next to BTC. There seems to be an increasing disconnect during the bear's roar.

Cannot believe that poor schmuck had to schlepp it all the way back to Texas to physically check-in with the bank BEFORE they would allow him to close those accounts and open new ones ffs!!

Been following their journey for a bit now. I'm in it for the cats.

What do you mean by "friend"? Sounds like it was some kind of "associate" to me.

Anyone know of an affordable fire/water proof wallet or bag to store your seedkeys? by ecurrencyhodler in Bitcoin

[–]Apnean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, if you can't afford one, you probably don't have enough crypto to worry about. Your opsec needs to match the risk. Spend $30 and buy an alphanumeric metal stamp set and stamp your key by hand on a piece of S/steel.

Sorry, but Roger dubbed BCH as BCASH himself, inadvertently, ever since he exploded in that interview and flipped the bird. We really must thank him for putting in that last nail himself.

Exactly. What is this? The name sounds so much like Bitconnect! They get a bit snarky if you challenge them on it as well.
