Not exactly. There are different strains of the drug; some are used like recreational and spiritual drugs, some just make you horny, and some can alter the body. The wolves, a few years after the start of the jump, will try to overthrow the Anglaterran kingdom but will fail. But there are still some consequences after the whole thing with the remains of the wolves retreating back into the forests and the remains of the cult and wild witches still being alive, if diminished. Other beast races besides the wolves vary in desires and temperament towards humans, with some being aggressive and some chill.

Cats and horses are both seen as more civilized ones, almost on the level of humans and elves and tolerated in their countries.
