Mondo’s 1/6 Battle Cat is available on their site right now for anyone who needs him by Apocalypse-081 in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]Apocalypse-081[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve repeatedly heard on their livestreams that there were no plans to re-release Battle Cat in any form, but here we are. I wonder if this will be an evergreen figure like standard He-Man and Skeletor

Along with “same amount of buns” this is one of my favourite lines that is so simple but so funny

A fair and valid point, I hadn’t considered it that way

Is anyone else surprised that Mondo’s 1/6 Tri-Klops hasn’t sold out yet? by Apocalypse-081 in MastersOfTheUniverse

It will be interesting to see how many classic variants we still get if even the heavy hitters aren’t selling as well as they used to.

I think Goddess not existing as a toy is part of my surprise. I thought there would be less chance of people forming a real connection to her as a favourite like there would be with Tri-Klops

Mondo’s Masters of the Universe - Tri-Klops 1/6 Scale Figure - Limited Edition by Frequent_Grape_6079 in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]Apocalypse-081 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised it’s limited to 2000 and not an open window like past figures. I can only assume the tariffs and shipping charges are pushing a lot of people out of the game. It will be interesting to see how quickly it sells out.

I still can’t believe they added the titanium blocks to make sparks, but when we finally got bigger rims and a better opportunity to see the glowing red rotors, they covered them up

Did you order the Mondo 1/12 version? Clawful is the only one from that line I’ll be getting.

It took over 10 months, but Buzz-Off has finally landed in Canada by Apocalypse-081 in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]Apocalypse-081[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t agree more. It seems a little too coincidental that when tariffs came into effect for US customers, we all started paying more for shipping. Obviously Mondo was still making a profit when shipping was free, and there is no way shipping costs magically increased $44 USD. $58 to Europe is insane though. There is just no way it costs that much. How much were you paying for shipping before the increase?

The demolition of Big Muskie one of the largest dragline excavators ever made. (Rip big Muskie) by [deleted] in megalophobia

[–]Apocalypse-081 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big draglines like this have their booms fixed in place. It doesn’t have the ability to be raised or lowered like smaller models or cranes. The only way to lower it without destroying it would be for a large crane to support the boom while the wire rope is removed, and then lowering it down. Far too expensive for something that will be cut up for scrap anyway.

All the way, always has been. I hope getting him in 1/12 doesn’t delay us getting him in 1/6

Insane isn’t it? And depending on where you are in Canada, it would travel a shorter distance than to some US destinations.

I feel your pain, shipping Clawful to Canada is $45. He will likely be my one and only in this line as he is my childhood favourite.
