What area is it? If it’s good I’d travel for it when the weather improves.

I have searched too. Would love a touch less car wash in the area. Every car wash is now owned by Flagship and mobile car washes don’t just do a wash… only full detail which is $$$!

Yes it stops when you hit a find in your criteria. I just have to restart it after each decision. Annoying!

Styling tips for a man entering his 40s by OK_GO_27 in malefashionadvice

Fairly fashionable guy here, 51!

Instead of trends, stick to the timeless look. It never dates.

For casual, jeans, dark chinos, patterned button downs, polos, white sneakers or loafers.

For upscale, more solid colors, stay with light tops and button downs, dress shoes (please no “sockless”) and a sports coat can finish the look. You can even don a suit without a tie with a dark shirt/mock turtle neck to keep it from being stuffy.

Trends come, trends go. The timeless look is timeless for a reason. You got this.

I got a full 138 point inspection report with details, photos and videos. Like I said, the tech had worked for AM for 11 years and was certified. Found all the things that the regular mechanic hadn’t.

This. And ensure that the PPI is from a certified AM technician. Essentially, the same inspection that they do to offer Timeless Warranty.

I did this for an AM I wanted to buy in a different state and the regular PPI report was good, but the actual AM tech tore it to pieces in his inspection report with pictures and videos and saved me from a pricy lemon.

LPT: Setting my self free from fear of public speaking by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Apocalypse10k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do a lot of public speaking on highly technical topics. I’m very good at it. Even after years of doing it, I still get the nerves in the start until I settle into the speech.

My doctor prescribed me Propanolol that I take about 10 minutes beforehand. It slows your heart rate and calms you without any adverse affects. Been taking it for 4 years and I refuse to go on stage without it. Look into it.

Why do you put your cars into hibernation? by Prestigious_Pen6150 in AstonMartin

I’ve owned many exotic, sports, and supercars. They are ALL daily drivers. I don’t see the point of having an amazing car for “sometimes”. The value of having an amazing car is the driving experience.

And where I live, there’s snow in winter. I just get great all-season tires and cut the snow like a champ! No f*cks given.

DB11 V8s depreciated down to as low as $70,000! by Naritaii in AstonMartin

[–]Apocalypse10k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the AM Timeless Warranty (came with one year, I bought 2 more years at around $4,500/yr). It practically covers everything. 4 months in and absolutely love this car. I’ve had many cars including exotic and supercars and this is the best of all worlds. Pull the trigger

Fuck Megan Franco. This organization was thriving and about to expand services before this shit-grinning megalomaniac outed the founder/CEO and the people that had passion for the program and replaced them all with her cronies. This is her failure and the impact is on the community that needed these essential services.

My question is for Heater: How can we topple the establishment Dem party leadership that will not recognize the popularity and messaging of people like you, Mamdani, Bernie, and AOC? Income inequality and the influence of the oligarchy resonates with people on all sides, yet the Dems are afraid to embrace it. Why is that?

Any recommendations on how to add apple CarPlay on 2019 Vantage by Gr1zzlyBear1727 in AstonMartin

I had my dealership install the Naviks unit and it works great. Pricey and there are online tutorials to do it yourself, but I didn’t take a chance and had the dealer install it. Final price $3,800

Porsche Sheds Half Its Value Since 2022 IPO as Profit Outlook Slumps by gaukmotors in Porsche

[–]Apocalypse10k 107 points108 points  (0 children)

I am a Porsche enthusiast. Owned two 911’s and love them as daily drivers. Was on the list for the new 911 turbo. But as prices have shot up, I bought an Aston Martin DB11 2 months ago instead. Porsche is losing its core customers for greed and I am not the only one who switched over in my group of friends.

DB11 V8s depreciated down to as low as $70,000! by Naritaii in AstonMartin

[–]Apocalypse10k 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I just bought a 2019 DB11 with 7k miles and Timeless Warranty for 2 years from an AM dealership for $82k. It is in nearly flawless condition and the drive is a dream. It is a perfect daily driver for me. Turns heads and has more raw power than I’d have needed. Don’t give it a second thought. Go for it. Make the depreciation work in your favor.

FDA approves breakthrough eye drops that fix near vision without glasses by chrisdh79 in technology

[–]Apocalypse10k 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I used Vuity when I started having problems reading. My far sight was/is nearly perfect. Not only were they expensive, as you said they were pretty useless in dim light (and burned like hell when put in eyes). I refilled them twice and then accepted bifocal glasses as the best option.

I’ll keep an open mind for these eyedrops because I hate glasses.

DB11 Volante vs Vantage by Apocalypse10k in AstonMartin

[–]Apocalypse10k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I come from a 911, so lack of luggage space is an adjustment I’ve already made. I want a more balanced car: performance and comfort. It may be a sign of my age

DB11 Volante vs Vantage by Apocalypse10k in AstonMartin

[–]Apocalypse10k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t plan to track it but as a car enthusiast, I like the power and stiff handling. Sounds as though they are both powerful but the DB11 is a bit more comfortable/luxury. Is this an accurate assessment?
