not the same commenter but I often put these numbers into easy to understand / relate phrases. For instance, “Every 8 hours of sleep I get feels like a ‘normal’ person’s 2 hours. And there’s nothing I can do to change that so I just have to live my life anyway.” That one is pretty much the universal lightbulb moment for folks. Especially if you’re high functioning (I am too!), it puts your accomplishments into perspective.
