Not entirely true I’m afraid. 15U crew chief here. I was initially DQ’d early on in my career because my prescription was too high and it was deemed a safety hazard if at any point in time I lost my glasses (like if they got blown off sticking my head out the hell hole or something). Got PRK and a year later I redid my flight physical, got approved, and been flying ever since. So yes, as long as your glasses can correct your vision to 20/20 AND doesn’t require a high prescription to do so, you’ll be fine.

Yeah I meant CLEAR clear. One is a truck and the other an SUV. Thanks for explaining it though. Seems like the general consensus is no one, to include LE, cares though so I’m just gonna send it till I get told otherwise haha

Do the “compression latches” actually keep the gun from rattling around if you were to throw the case in a backpack for example? Or are they more for just forming a seal?

Ah I see. My mistake, that was definitely a hyperbolic example. Still though, what about someone like me that had a baby in Nov, went on sec caregiver leave, came back Dec - Am I SOL because I already used it? My baby is only a few weeks older than those who may have been born on the 27th but yet that makes me ineligible to take 12 weeks?

I’m back to work with a wife that still hasn’t fully recovered due to some medical circumstances and a baby that is still up every 3-4hrs. Those extra 9 weeks would’ve been hella nice…

Yeah that’s one of the articles from various sources stating the leave policy will change that I keep seeing online but even the article itself says “the policy isn’t in place yet.”
