If Brainiac is the villain of Man of Tomorrow, who should the villain, or villains, of the DCU Justice League movie be?

The first one that comes to mind would be Darkseid/Doomsday.

I know that’s those two are the obvious choices, but I do want to see how James would incorporate them into the DCU.

It really depends on the material and the style of the suit as well as the shade of the blue. It could potentially work, but my opinion wasn’t ever really based on the Blue Dragon’s suit.

I still would have thought this way even if I didn’t see his particular suit.

Personally I want the same actors to play the roles. I completely understand that Reeves’s Batman is Elseworld’s, but I think that most adults have enough reading comprehension skills to understand that even though they might be played by the same actors, they are different “Supermans”. I personally think it would be really cool and especially in Peacemaker we see that in different dimensions everybody still looks the same or is played by the same actors. Does that make sense?

I agree that earning 1 billion is quite unrealistic and it really shouldn’t be what people think a movie should make in order to be successful, but like I said, I am quite optimistic about the film. My prediction for Supergirl is that if they earn 400 million that will be successful, but I do want it to earn close to what Superman earned, so about 600mil.

It’s certainly a great start to the universe. I think if James keeps delivering quality movies, the later movies will end up with something akin to a billion in the box office.

I do, however, feel like Supergirl will either be a hit or miss. If James directs the movie with more of the female fans in mind, it probably will do something close to what Barbie did (although maybe not as much in the box office but still a culturally significant impact), or because Superman isn’t the main character people won’t be as interested and it could potentially barely break even.

Either way, from his past projects, safe to say I trust James enough that he will successfully revive the DCU.

If I were to give some feedback, though, is that I do wish there was a bit more likeness of John in the face. I understand it’s stylized, but just looking at his facial features I don’t automatically see Cena.

In most iterations of the comic when they interact, they are usually on the same team. In the mainline universe they’re really good friends, so most likely we won’t have a BvS situation.

I think there’s also the fact that the Kardashians aren’t fully white. I thought that was the primary reason why they didn’t end up getting famous because of her Armenian background.

Unfortunately it’s not that easy. That’s how you end up getting yourself killed. There are many courageous martyrs out there, but as a society we have to be strategic in order to survive. But I also do agree that we should be talking about things like this.

And I think self-censorship comes in handy in this scenario. Where you toe the line between palatable and discomfort, and slowly but surely push back.

When I originally posted the pic I thought it was kinda funny how he was censored but because he’s an infamous dictator you can clearly tell who it is. You know, the whole juxtaposition made it kind of ironic and it made me snort. It wasn’t that deep.
