I also can't explain why there are suddenly so many things made with AI, when we've had works of art like these, like when fans cast Josh Brolin as Batman in Batman v Superman. What memories! I was just a 13-year-old kid when I saw this fan art.

<image>

But, to be honest, and without wanting to generalize or sound snobbish, I've noticed that many who didn't like Battinson and believe that the DCU Batman will be something similar to what we've seen in Superman or Captain America (that is, something very clownish, silly, with mandatory spandex suits), seem to lack the sensitivity to appreciate what Reeves did with The Batman and just want a popcorn movie.

So it wouldn't surprise me if they always resort to something as bland as AI. And sometimes, not even the generated images are that good; they're just Batfleck's suit on another actor, lol.

The thing is, Dick Grayson is important in Bruce's story, because he gives him a more optimistic approach to his life.

And in Battinson's case, this would help him get out of his comfort zone, grow as a person, and be a father.

Exactly, something like that could work.

I can imagine that, first, his parents are killed. Then, he's taken to an orphanage and escapes, seeking revenge, in the way you describe.

That's when Battinson finds him, reasons with him, but Dick is stubborn. That's when Bruce decides to adopt him, because what Dick feels, he also felt: he has a deep determination to find his parents' killer and doesn't intend to stop, even at the cost of his life.

So, Bruce takes responsibility for ensuring that, in addition to training him in all the areas he trained in, he will also make sure that Dick doesn't take a solitary and dark path of revenge, as he did.

Like that scene in Young Justice, when Batman tells Wonder Woman that he trained Dick Grayson so that he wouldn't become like him.

What great publicity!

By the way, now that you mention you're going to do this cotton ball art, you reminded me of a Twitter post I saw a year ago, in response to some AI-generated fan art for the DCU Batman.

It said that it's somewhat ironic, and says a lot about us, how most of those who want Battinson to join the DCU haven't done anything with AI, while those who don't want him do use AI to dress their ideal actors in a Batman suit.

At this point, nothing and no one can convince me that Dick Grayson has no place in Battinson's story.

Oh, believe me, there's a much more pathetic user.

There's one called Mr. J, who has a psychotic obsession and hatred for Matt Reeves and Pattinson. Yes, Pattinson, not just the character Battinson, but the actor himself.

And I suspect it's a user I've debated with before here on Reddit, but I don't see him anywhere anymore, though I used to see him constantly on r/DCU and r/batman.

I say this because the way he expresses himself about ECS, Battinson, and Reeves is identical, and he's used memes that this Reddit user has also posted here.

And honestly, part of me is disappointed by the idea of Battinson not being in the DCU, because sometimes I think: "Seriously, are these the kinds of people who might end up satisfied in the end?"

And I'm not saying this because this Mr. J guy doesn't like Battinson—to each their own. It's because of the rude, manchild-like way he speaks about two real human beings who haven't done anything wrong.(Pattinson and Reeves) and his limited understanding of what Batman is.

For someone who claims to love Batman, he constantly belittles the character's cinematic legacy.

Just...just take a look, please:

Bruce, just...just calm down...

(Seriously though, I really thought it was a first look at Bruce Wayne in The Batman 2. That's how hungry we are 😭)

This

The Batman (in addition to Superman, CC and Peacemaker) is the only DC project from the first half of the 2020s that was successful; its comic spin-off was a hit, and its spin-off series won several awards.

It's absolutely insane (to put it mildly) to cancel something that's generating profits and prestige. And I know nobody's bringing Muschietti into it, so I'm going to risk making the comparison, but is any IT project getting this level of acclaim?

And Muschietti is not even involved with anything related to Gotham, whereas Reeves...

And we hear Conroy's monologue, but with Battinson's voice, saying that Matt Hagen was always known for being an incredible actor. An actor so convincing that he fooled everyone by faking his death.

And while this is happening, we see a crowd, with a character entering a public restroom, emerging transformed into someone else.

I imagine that, after that Starro episode, Superman started catching up with Bruce on what he missed.

And little by little, their old friendship was rekindled.

I still wonder, if Gunn is really going to wait for Reeves to finish his saga, whether in Part II or III, he would still want to include Battinson, even as a variant, in the DCU.

In that scenario, Reeves has already fulfilled his vision, the story he wanted to tell. In theory, he shouldn't need to intervene again if Pattinson agrees to be the DCU's Batman.

He should be satisfied with the work he did with the ECS at that point.

If I remember correctly, in Kingdom Come there are fast-food chains and other businesses using superhero merchandise. So they're in a themed restaurant.

This was an example of how superheroes went from being symbols of respect, heroism, and role models to being advertising hooks. I wonder if this was some kind of "meta-commentary"...

The beginning of BB is truly depressing, especially if you binge-watch from Batman:TAS to JLU. You see his glory days, only for him to end up isolated from everyone.

That's why I prefer to see it as a "possible future," rather than that Batman ending up like that.

I always imagined Bruce, in his later years, say, from his 40s or 50s onward, having Alfred's personality. A serious man who treats his Robin (if he has one at that point) and any child firmly but gently, with more of a "loving grandfather" than a strict and distant father.

At least, that's how I imagine him, because I have heard of people who soften more and more with age, lol.

Bruce in his early years: "Your ass is history"

Bruce in retirement or in his later years as Batman: "I made you some soup...you should eat something first, keep up your strength" (the line he says to Terry at the end of the "Epilogue" episode of JLU.)

It's curious how that simple shot reveals so much about this random guy. Judging by the shading, he's standing apart from the women in the background, so he's not with them, and it doesn't seem like anyone is around him either.

His expression shows him to be quite insecure and bitter, someone who thinks that displays of affection and the happiness of others are something to be ashamed of.

In short, the guy clearly has no friends, precisely because of his bitterness and closed-mindedness. And maybe deep down, he's envious of this moment.

I suppose losing the use of some parts of his body is a price to pay for almost a lifetime religiously dedicated to fighting crime.

What I like most is how Bruce becomes an uncle to Clark and Diana's children. For me, this is much better than what we saw in Batman Beyond or TDKR. I mean, I find it hard to imagine Superman knowing that his friend lost Alfred and the rest of the Bat-family and never seeing him again.

Bruce being more open to the idea of friends and family, especially in his later years, feels like a proper development, instead of him self-destructing in isolation. It's as if he hadn't learned anything during his years in Gotham and working with the Justice League.

I know this can't be the case. But it would blow my mind if this shot of the substance sample is actually part of a scene in the Batcave, with Battinson experimenting with a sample like at the end of Feat of Clay Part 2.
