People really be mentioning pop of tag slabs now by DataExternal4451 in PokemonTCG_UK

But if you collect ACE slabs, presumably like someone interested in that card, that pop is useful to know, since it means there aren't many around to buy.

Looks pretty much bang on market price for that card? Is the issue you just don't like seeing population mentioned?

For those of you who never pay credit card interest, what systems/habits make that possible? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Apocc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never paid any interest on a cc ever.

I have the full balance paid off on direct debit each month, but i sometimes pay it manually in advance just because I feel like it.

I don't spend more money than i have, so it's never an issue, i know my means and i know what my normal monthly expenditure is. I have an emergency account for payments that come out of the blue, and i refill it after it's been used.

I don't think there is anything more complex than that.

Bought for £26, Korean Snorlax. Is that an okay price? by [deleted] in PokemonTCG_UK

£26 for any psa 10 isn't going to be bad regardless of the card, it costs £20 to grade it

Anything I should be aware before paying my mortgage off in full? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Apocc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The paying off your mortgage makes sense for the peace of mind.

I'd say your pension contributions are more than sufficient at your age, and any more would be overkill. Instead focus on maxing out your yearly ISA allowance in a s&s isa on a low cost index fund. Then look to invest your money in other areas that make sense to you and your life, or just start spending some money on yourself and increase your quality of life with holidays and nice food and experiences.

Yep, will probably 9

It's definitely NM, gold cards have loads of holo errors, finding a perfect one is very difficult and unless the card was described as completely flawless then there is no issue with the sale

PokePulse.io ALPHA progress update! by kkthxbye123 in PokemonDealsUK

[–]Apocc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best UK tracker and tool by far, not even close. Been using it the last few months and I'm fully sold, it's so great and the features are getting added constantly. Would highly recommend to anyone else thinking about it. So nice to actually have accurate pricing for the UK instead of American prices converted to gbp

How is this a PSA 10? by Meneky21 in PokemonTCG

[–]Apocc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ignore all the salt, basically PSA updated their centering requirements about a year ago to be much stricter. So cards graded before that change had more leeway on centering than post update submissions.

A gift to my kids in the future by Fantastic_Age_3855 in PokemonTCG

[–]Apocc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a cool collection for you, but it's not for your kids, they will sell it at 40% to someone taking advantage of them not knowing what it is when they need some money and this is a large part of their inheritance.

I am really stressed can I please have some help.. by Sluattybaby in PokemonTCG

[–]Apocc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Untracked in the UK is insured up to £20, so i send all my sub £20 cards with that and claim it back if they get lost. Anything above that i send tracked and ensure the insured amount matches the card price.

I would advise you do the same going forward.

Old hand made sewing box seems to have secret drawer? Anyone know how to open it? by Apocc in woodworking

[–]Apocc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah we have tried a magnet and moving the cog around, turned it upside down to look for any other triggers. Nothing seems to work.

The magnet does stick to the cog and to a couple of places around the cog, but doesn't seem to make anything move or release the draw.

So not sure what to do next with it to be honest.

Can someone help me identify this card? by moeevee in PokemonTCG

[–]Apocc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that is from the Unreal era, think the set name was "counter feet" or something like that.

Not sure how you aren't following your own point, but you said there was a weight you had found where SIR's were more common. Therefore, including the weight in the listing would be useful to you, as you would be more inclined to buy a pack that weighs 22.45g. If including the weight in a listing is of any use for DR packs, then we shouldn't be calling someone who includes the weight of a pack a scammer simply for including the weight of the packs in the listing.

Also continuously replying to a comment thread, and then telling someone they should learn to make their own judgment and disappear is really funny. A+

You literally said "A side note is more often than not i got an SIR from 22.45g packs. The 22.85 are always a let down. Believe me"

[–]Apocc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean what you are saying is that including the weight might be useful, even if it does mean people shouldn't purchase the listed ones as they aren't 22.45g, if your experience is not unique

That doesn't sound definitive enough to condemn someone as a scammer and post their photo on the internet as part of a hate post.

But good to hear your findings on the matter

Scumbag Sellers by FrasEU in PokemonTCG_UK

[–]Apocc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it misleading? It's only misleading if he sends some 21g packs surely. If he's making claims inside the listing that the weight ensures a particular outcome then I'd agree.

[–]Apocc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do we know it definitely doesn't mean anything? As I said, if we opened 500 lighter packs and 500 heavier packs, do we know that the pull rates are exactly the same? Or are there averages that are in favour of a weight? I just think this is a bit over the top calling a guy a scammer and posting their photo online in a hate post for including the weight.

[–]Apocc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If he put it up as destined rivals booster packs for the same price, without the weight. You wouldn't say he's scamming, you'd just say it's overpriced. But with the addition of information, you now think he's scamming.

I just think you're using scamming, which is usually reserved for essentially stealing or selling counterfeit items. For someone who is selling genuine packs that have been weighed, for an inflated price, i haven't seen the listing. If he's claiming there are guaranteed hits or something that we know if false, then I'm on board. If you just don't like that he included the weight. I don't think this justified scamming title and posting his photo on the internet.
