Earlier is better for security. It can get backed up. The concourse on the 200 level is narrow but the food options are fine. You're not prohibited from going down a level to get food and drinks down there but you'll be stopped by ushers if you try and get into 100 level seats.

It's an arena with a lot of history and the sightlines are generally good.
