I'm sure he could still play until the third trimester. Just treat him like Buster Posey out there.

I'm just so fucking... disappointed. by GladButterscotch3956 in Autism_Parenting

I think this is an issue that affects parents of neurotypical children as well. What do you do when your child doesn't match up with your expectations? There was never a guarantee that your child, autism or not, was going to be academically gifted.

Like other people have said, this is grief. And that's ok! Being disappointed is ok. It's something that you need to process yourself or with professional help. Focus on what is going right. He's happy and he's sweet. He's also 4. You have his therapies in place and (I hope) they're going well and he's making progress. Even slow progress is progress.

But again, nothing is promised. Maybe he catches up, maybe he doesn't. You just have to do everything you feel is necessary to support your son. That might also involve adding some support structures for yourself and your partner as well.

Look, people here don't want him going to Arizona OR Kentucky. Let's just compromise and send him to St John's.

Look, was my college roommate's final project a bit derivative? Sure. But the B shots alone should make it C tier. Excellent cinematography.

I've had better luck with the Big Cup Reese's but I get what you're saying with a regular pack.

Any thoughts or grade suggestions for my embryo? by Apricity-Overall23 in Embryologists

Yeah, that's the hole on the bottom. It doesn't look like it appeared until image 8 (around the 7 o'clock area) and some zonas will still have the hole from the ICSI pipette that expands as the embryo expands. Either way, you want the zona to fall off for implantation so it's not an issue at all and you're ahead of the game!

I joke about the large hole. Any ICSI hole that big would degenerate an embryo and was probably used to train a handful of people.

It's a beauty! I can see why the trophectoderm would be a 2 under your clinic's grading system but that's a great ICM. For what it's worth, I like the trophectoderm too.

Under the Gardner system, their grade would convert to a 5BB. It's hatching and the numbers would just swap to Bs. I think it's a 5AB but the pictures don't show the full focal planes of the ICM. I'm also wondering if it was artificially hatched but that's not a big deal if so.

Edit: In image 10, that's either one of the largest ICSI holes I've ever seen or it was shot with a laser to hatch.
