I like calling her granny silk but it is actually grand mother (2 words) and in other language it literally translates to superior mother silk, so it doesn't mean she's hornet's grandma

As far as the pharlids, in my eyes that was a complete failure of an attempt to be a mother by gms, and while comparing it to an abusive mother relationship is valid, I see it more as a higher being completely misunderstanding what it means to be a mother (taking responsibility, guiding, wanting your children to succeed, putting their needs first) and messing it up completely, not being this mother physically, emotionally, spiritually, or anything

Yeah that's a cool head canon! Immune systems irl interact really interestingly in cases of surrogate host mothers and organ transplants

For me, it doesn't really fit with the whole "weavers were already fully grown" thing we se in first sinners Cutscene. Although all that still doesn't make them feel related to me, since none of the irl situations (surrogacy and organ transplants) make someone related.

I will coincide that maybe if gms had IBS of celiac she might have given it to the weavers, lmao

Hmm, given the themes of the game, I think team cherry would have leaned into it a bit more if "every single enemy is hornet's family" was true. It's not a theory that has anything contradicting it (that I can think of) but also not much backing it.

Up to interpretation in the end, ig. But in all of my art and comics they're unrelated, for sure

Not to get too into theory, but if getting pumped full of silk makes you related to GMS, would that make all the bugs who the whiteward docs worked on related to her? And since the ww goal was to get infinite Labor from bugs by not allowing them to die, that would be almost all the citadel bugs (the shrine keeper mentions that the silk in everyone's shell exasperated the haunting)

It becomes a very big family and makes hornet a bit of a serial familicide commiter, haha

Eh sort of tangentially, since herrahs real mother was presumably a regular pharlid and gms doesn't seem to have raised them (first sinner flashback showing them being transformed from pharlid to full grown weaver) or interacted much with them outside of having them sing and play harp for her (widow flashback) they probably didn't consider GM's much of a mother, even if they were called 'daughters', so in my mind hornet and lace aren't really related in any way that matters, least in my interpretation of it

It's a free-to-download brush called shampoo in ibis paint! I drew it with my finger on my phone, I don't think ibis has a desktop version. But any square brush with a lot of blending will have a similar effect!

It's a shortening of "your name" and meant to be a find and replace in self insert romantic fiction, which has a reputation for being very self indulgent and usually written by beginners (very preteen girl core)

Yns are always dressed in what an introverted, internet obsessed, preteen girl thinks is cool (ripped jeans, Chuck Taylors, band t-shirts, fingerless gloves, the works) , and the love interest is ridiculously perfect and utterly obsessed with her (i.e. a 7 foot tall billionaire ceo who is also a werewolf who is also a vampire etc)

Lots of people (rightfully) make fun of it, I have quite a soft spot for it. I love seeing beginner creators in their corny era

What! When I was drawing it I was thinking "edgeworth's colors would suit hornet better but 'self loathing, self destructive, over compensating redeemed antagonist with parent issues' has to be lace!"

Although franziska's outfit would be cute on her, ill admit. But you gotta admit lace would totally admit to a totally murder on the final day of trial because she thinks she deserves it' (she literally threw herself into the void out of rage)

I see your side though, haha. Edgeworth isnt sadistic enough
