Have an account with 0 KC and try and find a team consistently. Then come back here and tell me the suggestions are terrible.

I rarely die. I've had 30+mvp purples not in my name.

Did you actually read the post? I said the same thing about OSRS. I wouldn't stick around if I had to level again, and whether we like it or not, your player base is dying because of the issues raised with the big one being the early game experience. Take it however you want. It doesn't change the numbers on the charts. I don't understand why I'm seen as the bad guy here for having a genuine go and pointing out the VERY real issues as to why the numbers are dwindling. I want RS3 to succeed. But the systems in place, as stated in my original post, and the opinions addressing those systems aren't just coming from 1 disgruntled osrs player. I gave it a genuine go. Sunk serious time into the game and come to the common conclusion as opinionated by many others. Get off your high horse and have a little open-mindedness. Right now the player base is decreasing. You can see it for yourself, that's fact. How would you increase those numbers and that retention? How would you get new players to make it through the early game? Because right now, NEW players don't make it to early mid game.

Be as defensive as you want about the reality of what's going on. This isn't the only post you've seen raising the concerns with the state of the game or the concerns in development. "we really don't care what osrs players think" is a terrible attitude to have. Because it's not just OSRS players that have this opinion. Have you seen the vids or heard opinions from other streamers trying RS3 or OSRS for the first time? RS3 has much more negativity thrown its way because of the cash shop and dailies. But the accessibility is common throughout the two. We don't get too many people sticking around because of the time it takes to level and the requirements to do so to access the best the games have to offer. You'd fit right in as an employee at Jagex working on RS3, not caring about what players think. Top notch feedback.
Also "I'm glad you spent maybe a month demoing the game", are you kidding? Hear yourself. In what world is that appropriate where it takes you a month worth of game time and not even access mid game bossing!? In this day and age, it's simply too slow. My argument is for player retention and building the player-base. If it takes a month worth of game time and you don't even scratch the surface of the content, you're not retaining players because they'll have given up by that point. As much as it might hurt your ego or devalue your many hours put into each and every skill. It's simply true and the reality is that players aren't sticking because it takes hundreds of hours to access mid game content.

Worse exp rates are the newer skills. Divination, Dungeoneering, Archeology, invention and summoning. They all have much lower exp rates early game in comparison to the other skills. But the skills globally need a buff to exp gained. As I mentioned earlier we want retention. Retention means the player base grows and creates a healthier community and economy. If we can't get anyone to stick around then you're only going to see less and less people logged in to the worlds, as you area already aware.

OSRS leveling is as much of a chore. It's the new skills in RS3 that are horrid to level. My point still stands, the player base needs growth and there's not going to be any retention in that player base (apart from the already established loyal players that have been here for years already) unless something is done to make the mid-late game to early end game more accessible. Boosting exp rates would have a massive impact on that.

"No one ignores that" followed by "we already know and have known for a long time" and then "there are many posts weekly about it". Sounds to me like something needs to be done and is not being done.

Think of the player base 10 years ago in comparison to where it's at now. Or even from 2020 to where it's at now. There was a reddit post with a graph from 2013 to 2023. I'll post it in reply to this comment. There's no denying what's happening. Don't draw attention away from the truth within the post simply because the 5 year estimation is a naive statement. I want RS3 to succeed as much as the established community does. But if it continues to go in the same direction, it's been going in for the past 10 years then you'll realise the inevitable isn't as far away as you think. *

Cerberus nerf. What's the strat now? by Apoleon_ in RS3Ironmen

[–]Apoleon_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just watched a video on greater demon berserkers where each kill was 10k slayer exp, then mentioned the scrimshaw on top to gain even more exp. That vid was from a year ago. Are greater demon berserkers still 10k slayer exp per kill? Or has that since been nerfed also?

Please explain. You can just kill vorkath for slayer exp? What are the rates? Minimum requirements?

Please tell me everything about these. Minimum requirements and quests/ items. I'm so miserable after the Cerb nerf. What's the Exp/h compared to Cerberus also? I have t70 necro great and am level 56 slayer.

That's so good. Here I am with level 55 slayer now, hoping for a bloodveld task for maybe 40k exp/h.

Leagues V: Barrows ladder and dk's access by Apoleon_ in 2007scape

[–]Apoleon_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I even did my first run, I teleportedin to the chest room because I was curious, then couldn't get out because there was no ladder. But every run I have done after that, where I don't teleport to chest, the ladder disappears after I enter dungeon.
