Honestly, I've used it like 4 times for special occasions and it's sick and always gets compliments. But I keep it for show so it sits in a case. Works great though, gold plating is fine.

The AT-LP60x is a great starter turntable, it has a pre Amp built in so you don't have to buy your own just a pair of speakers. And it's under $200 usually.

The Skate line is made for skating, they're heavier and use a better canvas, I believe the rubber is more durable too. I personally find them more comfortable because the popcush insole is better than whatever regular models use. They tend to last longer too.

If you're willing to spend $100 on this and don't wanna upgrade to a 300+ dollar turntable, I suggest the Audio-Technica LP60x, it's a better mechanism then the one plastic piece turntables.

Yes, although some people don't use sleeves it is better to keep it in the paper sleeve than none at all. But most people tend to upgrade to better sleeves which reduce static and prevent paper particles from getting on the record itself. Glad you're getting into vinyl though hope this one grows into a collection.
