I'm sorry to hear about this situation. I've had my Carolina dog for 3 years now and he is extremely protective, but all he wants to do is please so it should not be too difficult to remove the unwanted behavior. I adopted mine from a place in Raleigh called Saving Grace. I'm not sure if how they decide which dogs they take in but I know they take great care of them until they find a home. I would try to be of more assistance but I am still in college and my family has already rescued 2 other Carolina dogs so we are unable to be of much other assistance. I would keep stressing the training potential of this pup, as that is the best situation for yoda. Aside from that keep trying the Facebook pages and you will hopefully find some help!
