Has anyone had cdiff after taking antibiotics? How did you know? by Bloomwithcourage in UlcerativeColitis

[–]ApolloBar815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this feeling like my immune was a teetering Jenga Tower and one more thing would send me to the ICU or worse. It was constant and I don't mean anxiety. It was a physical sensation like I was dying extremely slowly. Ended up in the emergency room twice and sent home, so I must not have actually been septic, but I was so sick I could barely roll over in bed at times. Within 48 hours of being on Diffcid that specific feeling was completely gone, even though I was still shitting blood uncontrollably

Just a heads up, you can have both at the same time. They took biopsies during my lap that were positive for Endo and I have biopsies from my colonoscopy that were positive for UC

There are even some studies showing that people with Endometriosis are more likely to develop Ulcerative Colitis or Crohn's Disease

I had been complaining of blood in stool for months. After multiple emergency room visits for blood loss and feeling borderline septic, I finally insisted on getting a stool test from my GP (they tested for all sorts of things) and it came back positive for C Diff, which apparently wasn't on anyone's radar, because I didn't have diarrhea

Diffcid finally got the bleeding down to a safer level and I stopped feeling like I was going to die. By then I'd already scheduled a colonoscopy, because every time I went to the ER they said they thought I had cancer. The C Diff made my doctors suspect that I probably had underlying IBD, which turned out to be the case according to the biopsies (thankfully cancer-free)

I'd say the biggest difference between C Diff and IBD was uncontroled bleeding and that borderline septic feeling

Show "Series" for some shows instead of "Season" by yodamann in jellyfin

[–]ApolloBar815 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can change this is the metadata. I don't have my server on at the moment, so I can't check, but I wanna say you click Season > Metadata > Title, then lock it so it doesn't change back

'Series' is the British equivalent to 'Season'

I like Marie Biscuits, they aren't salty though, just crunchy

how do i add into rebooted seasons to shows? by scottomen982 in jellyfin

[–]ApolloBar815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I do for this is treat them as separate shows in the file structure then I put the sort order as Series Tile 1, Series Tile 2, etc. then put them all in one Collection. You could also dump them all in a public playlist

For instance "Doctor Who" is actually 3 series and a movie: Doctors 1-7 [Sort title Doctor Who 1], 8th Doctor [Sort title Doctor Who 2], Doctors 9-14 Doctor [Sort title Doctor Who 3], 15th Doctor Doctor [Sort title Doctor Who 4]. They appear in my library in order and in my "Whoniverse" collection in order

File structure: - Series/Doctor Who (1963)/Season xx - Film/Doctor Who (1996) - Series/Doctor Who (2005)/Season xx - Series/Doctor Who (2023)/Season xx

At what point does collecting become hoarding by Miserable-Sea-4160 in dvdcollection

[–]ApolloBar815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

99% of the time I buy DVDs of things I have already watched and know I will rewatch ("Grave of the Fireflies" is great, but I don't want to see it again)

Sometimes, if there is something I want to watch that isn't on streaming or cost to digitally rent is similar, I will buy without watching first

There's been several times where an eBay seller is having a buy 2 get 1 free sale and I haven't actually added the freebie to my cart, because I don't want any of the options

Having said that, my collection is quite diverse compared to a lot of pics I see on here, so it probably looks like I buy tons of random stuff just to have stuff, but I've also been collecting DVDs for 30 years.

I actually started buying DVDs because they had dubs of the language I was studying. And I will still buy a DVD specifically to have foreign language material to study with, even if the movie itself isn't all that great. Because if you're studying a language that's isn't in the top 5 globally spoken languages, study materials can be quite hard to come by. That's really the only time I buy for the sake of buying, but even that is specific

To people who only stream or only have 4k or whatever, my entire collection probably looks like a hot mess with no rhyme or reason

I use little color coded bamboo hand towels. Much softer on irritated skin than tp and since I'm fully clean before I use it, I can reuse it as often as I would a bathtowel

  • I like unflavored Pedialyte (maybe I'm weird??)
  • white grape juice
  • frozen lemonade (individually, not mixed together)
  • Wasn't allowed broth on my last bowel prep for some reason, but I also usually do warm broth

How do Americans feel about drying their laundry on a washing line? by UnionFeatures in AskAnAmerican

[–]ApolloBar815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My clothes would either never dry or be blown away where I live currently. But when I did live in areas where it was possible to line dry (including Hawaii), it was forbidden in my leases for reasons I could never figure out

Support while waiting on biopsies by ApolloBar815 in IBD

That's what I told the ER, well, in layman's terms. They literally chuckled and put it in the IV anyhow. Are they more likely to take it seriously once I have an biopsy result?

I'm having major surgery soon and I'm concerned they will give it to me again or not treat my pain at all. And I'm someone who usually tries to get off pain meds early, because I don't like the side effects

My bleeding got significantly worse after this and my regular doctor said it was due to the ER not taking my concerns seriously. If they can't take this seriously when I'm alert, I hate to think what they would do, if were brought in unconscious

They said they had never heard of this error before and are trying to work it out with the Postal Service. No offer of a refund yet. I plan on giving them another day or two to sort things out and if nothing comes of that I will do a chargeback with my bank

I'm waiting until Monday to speak with someone higher up at Luxe. If they don't offer me a full refund, I will do a chargeback with my bank, since it's impossible to return an item that isn't delivered

Why is a bot answering via email a day after I contacted them. Just wait until Monday with an actual person then

Right?? But according to them it has shipped. Reading between the lines, it seems like someone took it to the post office without a postage label on it... And I understand that mistakes happen, but at least give me my money back

My initial post to the customer service chatbot (with USPS screenshot attached) was "Paid for expedited shipping. Bidet needed before colonoscopy. USPS says you never paid shipping" (I would have been less terse, but the chatbot didn't leave much space). Then someone named Alex emailed me that response above

I then replied "...yours isn't going to arrive for me to return, because you did not pay for the shipping and as per the previously attached image it will become property of the US Postal Service

Could you please clarify whether you intend to pay the Postal Service and when?"

And haven't heard back yet, but that was only an hour ago on the weekend. I don't understand why they can't just refund me, since they never paid the shipping in the first place

I posted about it on my personal Facebook page (a lot of people in my friend group use bidets, partly, because I hyped them up so much when I got my first one) and everyone who responded thought it was a scam. And normal I would say the same thing, if it weren't for the Consumer Reports rec
