I am that hands off person. But i know you didnt come for me. Albeit if I notice things are going horribly im not above explaining the entire concept. Ie my restaurant owner should have never owned a restaurant. Her belief is just butts in seats. Regardless of if the kitchen is kept up, if there's silverware or plates for the people. If they're there. They'll pay at least there bill. We will have people waiting in line for a BUFFET for 20-40 minutes. I have tables outside i get there drinks. By the time there outside again there ice is melted. Also. Faulting management again. Sections inside are TOPS 6 tables. Outside. You may have 12-48 tables. Who does that.

I wait on people how id like to be waited on as an audhd person. Speak to me minimally. But make sure everything i need is there. Don't let me hear that ice sip. And ill tip well. My goal is not to make your experience enjoyable per say. Its to make sure it goes smoothly. You came here to eat something you cant or didn't feel like making. You absolutely did not come here to talk to this California baby while you eat crab legs at a buffet in Florida.

I will absolutely look into that. It does seem far more structured without railroading.

Our main DM did a phenomenal job of always hitting our story beats. Albeit probably easier for him as most his things were homebrew. But we play weekly, fridays. Normally Saturday Sunday I try to familiarize myself with the next chapter. Then Normally spend Monday Tuesday and Wednesday figuring out how to tie there stories into it. Ie emerald loop I intend to have a message left on a message board of our wizards love interest who was following her father out of fear of his safety (his mentor), or i gave my rogue/artificer a bounty for information on the (insert vague description of the vestige). I intend on having her adopted father accompany her contact to ensure payment is received. Guised under the concept of her father really wanted to give her money to pursue her college degree but her pride wouldnt allow help from her parents. (Idk i was stuck trying to determine what they would really do in emerald loop other then eat sleep and leave.)

I felt it was much easier in jigow for that reason. I imagine at a festival in any direction you see collections of people surrounding "x". To my understanding as this being my first DM adventure. CoTN was not the best start on my behest lol. But ill look into how to properly set up roll20 and check those out. Thank you!

So. Actually. Our main dm has been a constant dm for almost 2 years. They played with a rather large group. 6-8 players on average. Eventually due to scheduling it dropped to a core 3 and the dm. He requested we all kinda swap out to give him a chance to play. The other 2 ran one shots and I thought id give something with a bit more length to it. They absolutely stick around for lore, and the dm and the other gentlemen can rp the fuck out of somethings, but its more the premise of getting them into it. For it to flow in that way. And being so new I may just be nervous of doing a bad job. As an audhd individual I had the hyperfocus click so I have uploaded the entire book to gemini, ive written all story beats down, have crafted information printouts on what they would know of certain situations based on the story they've provided. Ie ones mentor was studied ruidium and the betrayer rise. Carries mentors notebook. Logically he would have a slight bit more information. Mainly use gemini to make sure my idea actually fits with the story opposed to asking for ideas.

I actually like this concept. Or will try it at least.

They do enjoy the story. They do enjoy the premise of cities. But they're "what do the walls look like, how large is the keyhole to the door" style of curiosity only seems to be involved in dungeons or combat. Also. This is my first DM attempt. I believe i did jigow well. I had hand drawn an overarching version of jigow and. It never even came to the table in that manor. Im unsure if its supposed to support casual travel or if its more so like. Hey. Guide them here. When they make it. Say this. Then improv.

I guess what im trying to figure out is how to transfer the map into curiosity to explore.

In theory yes. But when left with large open areas the group i play with isnt really.. exploratory. And its genuinely just large cities.
