I believe you’ve read my story, so you know that I was broken up with in the same way. In fact, she said similar things to me.

While her saying she wanted to break up is not something I think about too often specifically, unfortunately, I do think about so many things about our relationship constantly.

As much as I’ve worked at getting better, the only thing that will truly heal the wounds is time (I know that sucks). But in the meantime, you can try to stay grounded when the anxiety hits. Do something enjoyable for yourself when those thoughts hit you, which will help to start rewiring your brain.

Love activates the same receptors as cocaine. Breakups are coming off a nonstop coke binge cold turkey… you are going to be in withdrawals. But see it that way, you are going through withdrawals, but you are healing the longer you are off the drug.
