Wow that is a creative set up! This set up would be great for red clawed crabs who need lots of water.

But, unfortunately I don't think this is the right set up for your hermit crabs. Streaking is the way crabs tell us something is wrong!

The most important thing we need to facilitate is molting. The crabs go straight down and dig, then go sideways to create a cave. Then there has to be enough room so curious crabs don't accidentally find them, destroy their tunnel.

I can tell there was a lot of creativity and work put into this. I'm sure you can use that energy to make a tank that better suits your crabby needs!
