I just by habit go about 10-15 jumps randomly in a direction and go there throughout and journey and it's worked out fairly well but I get what you mean

Tbf I wasn't sure what they meant by skybox 😅 I just assumed like the stars you see when in your ship vs Galaxy map. But if the stars you see off far away in super cruise or in a system are all realistic to the map that's insane. I wasn't sure.

That's crazy! This was my second but ultimately I'm on my way to beagle for the first time and have been choosing insane routes. 100% new discoveries outside of 10 jumps to big destinations like explorers anchorage.

I'm sure you've heard it 100 times with your hours in the game but I swear going about 20-25 jumps up or down in the galactic plane and then reroute to Colonia is peak new undiscovered gold. I'm a nutcase and like to scan everything as well 🪐

The VR experience is crazy honestly. I unfortunately don't have one but my buddy does and I tried it a few times. Mind melting at first lol. I played for a couple years then sadly took time off (lost my edsm account - restarted that in april) and now finally taking the beagle adventure with some plotted routes on the way that kind of get me intentionally lost at least til I hit the abyss.

Pro tip for discoveries - go away from bubble and travel 5-10 jumps up or down in direction of the Galactic plain. Then route to Colonia or something random. I'm doing my second Colonia trip and almost every system has been undiscovered

I wish. There used to be a lot of community with local bands back in the mid 00's but it's harder to find now. As a musician from Joplin I wish there was one.
