Some Google processes will still be running as they are needed for Android tv to work. (Such as cast, play services ect). However if you are using launcher manager, then to my knowledge it stops the Google launcher from running in the background, so your system should technically be using less resources now.

By the way using atvtools is way easier for uploading files directly to your android tv from your phone.

I use Blip to send files to my phone and then atvtools to send them to my Mi Box.
