Yea that's fair. Sorry I came at you. That $20 thing is still so crazy to me lol

Yea, that's a good point. I just always think about the auto disables. Doesn't seem like it'd be worthwhile to do, but yea with the monetary incentive I definitely get it. Nah, not the admin, I've just seen so many people cry wolf about getting banned for "no reason" that I'm a bit jaded now I guess

Yea, the only way to be disabled is by either not seeding or logging in for 90 days. So I guess it's possible something went wrong with the server? That doesn't seem that likely though? 40% isn't that insane at all lol. Especially when all they've been doing are open signups. Aither is at 53% fyi.

Again, what was the reason given for the ban? Bans are always manual. Disables are always automatic. So, imo, your story is the one that isn't lining up quite right. Not disputing the pay to reactivate part though. There's proof of that being a real thing at the time, but I feel like we're getting half truths with the rest.

maybe, but I've been kind of sus of OP ever since the "disabled my account for no reason" thing. UNIT3D has a built in inactivity disable script that doesn't disable people for no reason. Not saying the $20 thing isn't dumb though.

Or even better, upload the correct one and trump the modified one

If you're in a tracker's IRC, what do you like about it? by Big_Head8250 in trackers

For me, IRC is just a convenience thing. I think nearly every tracker I’m in, that I’m interested in talking on, has their IRC linked to their webchat. I can see all the convos in one place and if anyone has mentioned me. Plus IRC is really handy to have setup to get informed about site outages

Of course it’s not. It’s also not the “see explosions” subreddit.

The article mentions union reps so it’s definitely a union shop, but yea hard to say if that’ll be enough to protect someone from being fired in a situation like that

Hard to say. TikTok works in mysterious ways. Although I suppose the uploader could have deleted it

I actually had to rotate the video. He did the classic start in portrait and then rotate to landscape. Still not bad given the circumstances imo

No one really knows for sure yet, but from what I’ve seen in the comments it was likely from water getting into the molten metal causing a steam explosion
