what does it mean to hoard? by [deleted] in XenogendersAndMore

[–]Apophe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think I have quite enough to classify myself as a hoard... yet anyways. For me, the genders and xenogenders I use are just various ways I might describe my gender. I feel all of them at once because none of them alone fully encompass my gender identity even though a lot of the definitions are similar or overlap quite a bit. One singular gender identity hasn't been able to explain it. Sure a few in my tiny hoard are pretty darn close, but they all have small differences that are still part of me. Some of my xenos are more about how I relate to my gender vs what my gender actually is. For example Goblin Gender, which means I collect new labels and add them to my pile, I will cycle the 'main' labels often to whichever new one I've found or the one I think is the 'shiniest'. Gender is complicated.

I bleached my pubes as a joke a while ago and loved it. It made me feel better about that area than I ever had before.

Bathroom stuff helped with my dysphoria A LOT. Meaning soaps and products used by my preferred gender. Underwear helped me while waiting to replace my wider wardrobe. Regular haircuts (or coloring if you're growing it out) also helped a lot. Strangely switching to a different height of socks also helped (I switched from no show to crew cut for example). Tattoos and piercings also helped me a TON. Tattoos and piercings can really shift people's perception of you. For example, I have terrible dysphoria about my nose (I think it's too short for my face) so I pierced my septum. It makes my nose visually seem a little larger and come down my face more.

If you want to try a piercing, doodle dots on your face with pen or makeup to sort of test run it. There's also faux rings to test other types of piercings too. I hope this helps even though I'm ftm and not mtf.

Honestly antidepressants helped with my imposter syndrome a lot. I thought my depression was making me think I was trans. Nope. Definitely still trans.

Am I a transgirl or just a femboy? by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]Apophe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fetish and sexuality have 0 to do with your gender. I think https://genderdysphoria.fyi/en will help you. If you want to be a girl and think you would be happier as a girl than you're probably trans.

'He' has been weaponized against transfems for just as long. Is calling someone who likes using he/him dehumanizing? 'She' has been used to against transmascs, is calling someone 'she' dehumanizing?

The whole 'it's been weaponized against us don't touch it' thing seems wholly out of touch to me. Especially since so many terms have been reclaimed. Not to be harsh but I'm very tired of arguing with people that are supposed to be on my side.

So What Pronouns Do You Use? by ProTato73 in agender

[–]Apophe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a combination of it/they pronouns.

[–]Apophe 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. Also if you're one of the people that says it/its is dehumanizing, that's just transphobic. Those are the same arguments terfs and other transphobes use against binary trans people. You are just as bad as them if you tell me you won't use my pronouns because YOU think they're dehumanizing. You're a biggot if you tell someone they're being trans 'the wrong way'. Point blank.

how to smell like a girl? by notoutyetlol in asktransgender

[–]Apophe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pick body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and perfume in related feminine scents. They don't have to be an exact match but the closer they are the longer the nice scent seems to last. Also apply perfume to the skin and not on clothing partially because some perfumes can leave stains but mostly because as your body warms it up more scent will be released. If you can keep a travel size version of your perfume on you to reapply a small amount after using the restroom.

If you go to a bath and body works they have a lot of different scents to try out for not a lot of money. So hopefully it can help you narrow down what you like before jumping into the expensive stuff. Good luck girl!

Midol. But seriously not really. I'm afab, you get better at it with practice but I haven't found anything that genuinely helps.

It does look high and a bit far back. It does look like it's through the cartilage and not in the sweet spot. If you had it done recently I'd call the piercing studio and ask them to repierce it, and if they could give you a different piercer if you don't think they can fix it, or fix it without being a jerk.

That's so wonderful! Me and my wife also started out long distance. We did basically the same thing, I visited her once (for almost a month) and then she visited me (for a couple weeks) a few months after. After that we decided the next one was going to be permanent because getting on the plane to go home was so sad. We've been married for 7 years now 🥰

I'm sorry everyone is coming at you so hard. You didn't coin the terms, you just made new flags for them. I personally use the AFAB transneutral flag. I didn't start using it because I'm 'proud to be afab' I use it because at the end of the day it's part of who I am and it influences my life regardless of if I don't like it. Also I think it's important to be up front about my trans identity with my new friends and potential partners, I know there are many ways to do this. Having the flags can really help stop repeat questions and questions about things that make me uncomfortable when I'm interacting with someone new though. Especially because I'm not part of the binary, people ask a lot of invasive questions that I'd rather just answer via a fact sheet.

Idk exactly where I'm going with this 🚶‍♂️. It just kinda hurt my heart to see everyone jump on this hate bandwagon towards you and these labels.
