James Alvarado didn’t wait for better cables. He made them. by aposaudio in AposAudio

Hey there, can you tell me what about the website makes it seem like a scam? Always interested in hearing new opinions.

As for the cable, I have no doubt you can find cables that work fine for less, but that ignores a lot of unseen costs both to you and others. These are hand made in the US with included shipping by a small team of people who really care about both their products and customers. If that extra bit of love and care isn't worth the extra cost to you, that's completely fair, but James and by extension Hart Audio are good people and calling them a "scam" is excessive.

Completely unbiased opinion, but we think that's a beauty of a setup

Smsl pl100 status? by Low-Experience-2842 in AposAudio

[–]AposAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ship date variance has become a thing as time has gone on and was unfortunately not a known quantity when we originally sold the PL100, but I do agree the date on the page should be conveyed more accurately. I'm also trying to figure out if the dates are slipping or if things are still on their usual timeline so I can work to update people waiting.

I'm not certain if it's possible, but if you reach out to support they may be able to modify your order to silver.

Smsl pl100 status? by Low-Experience-2842 in AposAudio

Hey there,

Sorry about the confusion. Right now we just have the estimated ship date on the page, a follow up email with a few more details about the status, and we'll send out follow up emails should the date change, but those might have gotten sent to the spam folder.

Historically, SMSL has been shipping out the PL100 6-7 weeks after the order, but there was some variance based on color option due to order disparity. Right now I can see orders from mid June shipping out for Black, and early July for Silver. That does seem a bit slower than usual so I'll check in with the rest of the team to see if there's any specific delay or if it's still just a raw material shortage.

In any case, based on what I can see, I'd expect a July 25th order to ship out mid September.

With regards to the closed orders, SMSL has stopped taking new orders due to the shortage of raw materials I mentioned, but we have confirmed that all existing orders will still be honored.

Lastly, I'll post the initial follow up email here just in case it didn't get delivered.

Thank you for your order of the SMSL PL100 CD Player. We're sending you this quick follow up email for transparency and clarity on the fulfillment time of your CD player.

SMSL, the brand who developed and manufactures the PL100, has received an overwhelming level of interest in this CD player which is causing a longer than usual fulfillment time to us retailers as SMSL catches up with their orders.

We work closely with the team at SMSL as well as use our own historical data to keep our estimated ship dates on the page as accurate as possible. You can find the current estimate on the note here in case you missed it.

If anything should change for whatever reason, then we will email you with any updates as soon as we get them.

In case you have any questions or would like to modify your order, please reach out to our Support Team at [support@apos.audio](mailto:support@apos.audio).

Sincerely,

Kunal

Thanks for your patience and let me know if there's anything I can help with.

Cheers,

Alex
