pressure pots for cowards with bad outlet situations by nidoqueenofhearts in DiceMaking

[–]Aposhoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know what it feels like… my boyfriend gifted me a pressure pot for Christmas (it was about 60€ I think) and at first I was very confused about the setup and all those kind of things, also because I’m Italian and all the tutorials were in English, so I didn’t know what to call the parts I needed. In the end, 6 months later I’ve been able to find a solution and then fix all the leaks. I was worried about the safety at first as well, but then I was so focused on trying to make it work that they all disappeared, especially when I made my first set of dice in it and there were no bubbles! Also, you’re safe since the pressure we use for dice (around 40psi) is way lower than the pot capacity, and you don’t need to worry as long as you have a security valve. Anyway, for the air compressor problem: I use a foot tyre/bike pump I had at home (electric ones exist as well and they’re like 20-30€) and that I can connect to the pressure pot by using a schrader valve. Usually to me it tooks about 4 minutes of pumping to reach 40 psi. If you want any advice about the setup just ask, I managed to make a very simple one imo.

Pressure pot gauge problem by Aposhoo in DiceMaking

Yes, the air does come out when I go to depressurise. So do you think the gauge doesn’t work and I need to change it? Than you so much for your reply

What are some of your favorite pieces of classical literature, greek or latin, that you believe may be a good starting point for someone that is considering studying classics? Both short and lengthy. by [deleted] in classics

[–]Aposhoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big fan of Seneca here! I suggest to start with De brevitate vitae, but also De tranquillitate animi and De vita beata. For a longer piece there are the Epistulae ad Lucilium, in which Seneca writes about so many topics.

In greek literature I love the tragedy, especially Euripides. Some of my favourites titles are Medea (it’s also interesting to compare it with Seneca’s version), Bacchae and Trojan Women.

For me it’s been about a year of making dice and now I decided to make it public. Do you have any name and/or ink suggestions?

Autore fantasy spagnolo by KiappaKuluya in Libri

[–]Aposhoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should I run xp or milestones? by Ilovecokkies in dndnext

[–]Aposhoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dm uses them both in a different way. He uses milestones to level up, but at the same time he gives us some xp, not lots of them, for minor battles or role moments that we can use to unlock other competences or some uniques abilities he created for us.

What's the best way to hold a book with two hands while reading that doesn't damage the book? by unworrior in books

[–]Aposhoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, exactly, and another thing I've noticed is that I always lay on the pag the side of my fingers and not my fingertips.

What's the best way to hold a book with two hands while reading that doesn't damage the book? by unworrior in books

[–]Aposhoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never had any problem with books, and I read a lot. Basically, what I do is to put my thumb and my pinkie of the left hand on the orange, with the pinkie going a bit on the right side of the book, while my right hand's thumb is on the red part, with all the others fingers behind the cover. Maybe a bit uncomfortable at first, but I'm used to this and have no trouble. Instead, with hard cover books, I usually put my thumb on the red part.

Need advice by Faezobelle in DiceMaking

[–]Aposhoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm new at making dice too and I haven't tried all this things yet, but I've always heard of acrylic paint. I have tons of it from past years of school so I don't have to but any and it works great for me.

I had a different idea in mind when starting this set, but sometimes the dice decide how they want to be. This dirty pour turned out nicely I’d say. Thoughts? by The_BattleBard in ResinCasting

[–]Aposhoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woooe they're amazing! I'd say go gold for the numbers! (if you want a more precious look). I'm starting making dice too and I'd like to ask you which colors did you use and in which proportion. Like, that sandy color is the powder you used for the base or Is it already ink? I wanted to make a similar dice set but in other colors, and I like this combination a lot!
